- Bo-Kaap - The pick-up will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at 9:00 am. However, we are flexible, so if you prefer an earlier or later pick-up time, please let us know when booking. After picking you up, we’ll travel through the city to see historical monuments and buildings. We’ll then stop in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with the vibrant houses, which hold great historical significance. You might even have the chance to greet some locals if they’re around. Located at the foot of Signal Hill, near the city center, Bo-Kaap’s origins date back to the 1760s when many rental houses were built for slaves. These people, known as Cape Malays, were brought from Malaysia, Indonesia, and other parts of Africa to work in the Cape. The colorful houses are a result of the owners painting them in bright colors as an expression of freedom once they were allowed to buy the properties.
- Table Mountain - After visiting the Malay Quarter, we’ll head to South Africa’s iconic Table Mountain, one of the world’s top tourist attractions. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Mother City, and the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. You’ll take a cableway ride. Please remember to bring a jersey and wear comfortable shoes.
- Camps Bay - We’ll take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, and Hout Bay. We’ll stop at Maiden’s Cove for a photo opportunity with stunning views of the Twelve Apostles as a backdrop. This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, and views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay. It’s a perfect spot for amazing pictures.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Camps Bay, we’ll drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. It’s no wonder Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world, with impeccable views.
- Cape of Good Hope - Our tour concludes at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we’ll explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama Crosses. These two explorers were the first Europeans to arrive in Cape Town around 1487 & 1495. If you wish to hike, please speak to your guide. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunscreen, a jersey or jacket, and a hat.
- Cape Point - From the Cape of Good Hope, you can choose to either take a short hike to Cape Point or ride the Funicular. Lunch can be enjoyed at the Two Oceans restaurant for a sit-down meal or at the informal eatery for takeout. Here, we’ll explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as Cape Point, where the cold Benguela current from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. We’ll explore the lighthouse and more.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even spot one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
- Muizenberg - We conclude our tour with a stop at the colorful houses in Muizenberg. Enjoy the warmer Cape waters of the Indian Ocean. If you’re into surfing, this is the place for you, and there are restaurants and shops nearby for snacks and mini shopping.
