The journey starts with a brief city orientation drive to view significant monuments and buildings in the city center.
- Bo-kaap - Next, we stop in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with its vibrant houses, which hold great historical importance. You might even have the chance to greet some locals if they are around. Your tour guide will share insights about the colorful houses and their historical significance.
- Camps Bay - Enjoy a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton, and stopping in Camps Bay. Maiden’s Cove is the ideal spot for capturing stunning photos as you admire the breathtaking views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach.
This cove is one of the top locations in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, along with views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the charming suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, etc. This is what we call a Kodak moment.
- Seal Island - If you opt for the optional boat trip to Seal Island, it will last 45 minutes. This excursion depends on the weather. Please bring a light sweater as temperatures can drop at sea.
- Hout Bay - Traveling along the scenic Atlantic seaboard, we pass through Llandudno, known for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we reach Hout Bay. Upon arrival at Hout Bay harbor, you can choose to take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to see the seals or shop at the market.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for stunning photos. It’s no wonder Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, offering breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach below. Travelers can enjoy some of the finest coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Village Roast at their own expense.
- Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - An optional stop for wine tasting at the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards is available. Surrounded by stunning vineyards and ocean views in the distance, cool sea breezes create a slow-growing season, with a late harvest resulting in a truly unique Sauvignon Blanc recognized worldwide for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch in their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam is highly recommended.
- Cape of Good Hope - We explore the Cape of Good Hope and take an iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. Here, we also explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. You’ll see beautiful beaches along the way, as well as various fauna and flora.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - From the Cape of Good Hope, we drive to Cape Point. Upon arrival, you can choose between a 15-minute hike or taking the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is the Penguins colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even find one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
- Muizenberg Beach - Our return route passes Muizenberg, where you’ll see the colorful beach huts. These huts serve as changing rooms and are reminiscent of the “bathing machine” of the 1800s, a cart-like structure wheeled to the water’s edge, allowing ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
- Cape Town Central - Drop-off will be back at guests’ accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 6:00 pm.
