- Camps Bay Beach - Guests will be picked up between 7am and 8am from their hotels. From downtown, they will enjoy a scenic drive through Sea Point, Bantry Bay, and Clifton, stopping at Camps Bay and Maiden’s Cove for Instagram and Facebook-worthy photos with the stunning Twelve Apostles as a backdrop. This is one of the best spots in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay. This is what we call a Kodak moment.
- Camps Bay - Known as the Beverly Hills of Cape Town, Camps Bay is an upscale residential area famous for its photogenic scenery. Guests can enjoy the majestic sunset, making it the perfect destination for sundowners. The drive continues along the Atlantic seaboard past Llandudno, home to European celebrities, and Hout Bay, a town with a thriving fishing community and a charming fish factory. We will stop at the world-renowned scenic road, Chapman’s Peak Drive, which takes about 45 minutes.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - We will pause at Chapman’s Peak Drive, a mountainside road affectionately known as “Chappies.” This engineering marvel winds for 10km along the towering Chapman’s Peak mountains, which seem to plunge into the ocean. Guests will have the chance to stop at the viewing point for photos and enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean, stunning cliffs, and spectacular landscapes.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - Continuing our coastal journey, we will stop in Noordhoek, offering breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach below. Guests can enjoy some of the finest coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Village Roast, at their own expense.
- Glencairn - Our journey continues past Glencairn, driving along the False Bay coastline straight to Simon’s Town, which takes about 45 minutes.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - We will stop at the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where the guide will escort guests to the viewing point to see some of the 2,500 breeding pairs of African Penguins (also known as Jackass Penguins) up close. Guests might even encounter one or two of these endangered penguins walking alongside them on the boardwalk. A meeting point will be provided after the visit. Please bring sunscreen and towels, as it’s a beach day.
- Fish Hoek - We will drive past Fish Hoek, also known as Fish Corner, once considered a dry area, and Kalk Bay, a fishing village on the east side of the peninsula along False Bay. The village is nestled between the ocean and the steeply rising mountainous heights of Table Mountain Sandstone. The drive to Muizenberg takes about 45 minutes.
- Muizenberg Beach - A quick stop at Muizenberg allows guests to see the colorful beach huts from the top of the mountain. These huts, used as changing rooms, are reminiscent of the “bathing machines” of the 1800s, which were cart-like structures wheeled to the water’s edge for ladies to change into their bathing costumes. Guests will also have a chance to see the shark spotters.
