- Bo-Kaap - After picking up guests from hotels and guest houses, the first stop will be at the historic and cultural site of Bo-Kaap in Cape Town. Here, the tour guide will provide an opportunity to capture Instagram-worthy photos of the vibrant houses. Once a place of oppression through slavery, Bo-Kaap now stands as a symbol of freedom. A visit to Cape Town is incomplete without stopping here.
- Table Mountain - The second stop on this unforgettable Cape Town tour is the renowned Table Mountain. The tour guide will provide pre-booked tickets and accompany guests to the summit. This tour allows guests to skip the ticket line. In case of adverse weather, tickets remain valid for up to 7 days. The guide will discuss with the group whether to visit first or last, depending on visibility. Expect to spend up to 2 hours here, though queues can be long during December and January.
- Camps Bay - Guests will have a chance to stop at Maiden Cove near Camps Bay for photo opportunities with Lion’s Head, the Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain, and Camps Bay as a backdrop. The views of mountains, oceans, and beaches are stunning. Look out for marine life such as penguins, Cape fur seals, and whales in the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean overlooking Camps Bay. This area is often referred to as the French Riviera of South Africa.
- Hout Bay - The tour continues south to the suburb of Hout Bay, affectionately known as the Republic of Hout Bay due to its unique location surrounded by mountains and oceans, with no direct borders with other Cape Town suburbs. The drive from Maiden Cove to Hout Bay is breathtaking, passing through Bakoven, the Twelve Apostles, and Llandudno. The main attraction at the harbor is a 45-minute boat trip to Seal Island, home to thousands of Cape fur seals. Hout Bay is a shopping haven for those looking to take home African art and souvenirs. Remember to bargain. The boat trip to Seal Island is optional and costs approximately ZAR 100 per adult, with children paying half price. Local cash and credit cards are accepted throughout the tour. Locals frequent Mariner Wharf for fresh fish and chips. Ask the tour guide for recommendations on where to find the best fish and chips in Cape Town.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Known as Chappies, Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the world’s most spectacular marine drives. A 20-minute stop will allow guests to take photos and enjoy the stunning sea views and refreshing sea breeze before proceeding to Simon’s Town.
- Simon’s Town - Upon entering Boulders Beach, guests can explore a small African craft market offering handcrafted penguins and other crafts. The tour guide will then lead guests to a protected African penguin colony for photos and interaction with the penguins. There is also a semi-private beach for optional swimming and nearby restaurants for refreshments and lunch. The guide will escort guests to the main penguin colony, where tickets to enter the park cost approximately ZAR 160 per adult and ZAR 80 for children. Over 2,500 African penguins have made this bay their permanent home. This is not a zoo; the penguins roam freely, with only the area being protected. The tour guide will provide more information about these beautiful creatures, found only in South Africa and Namibia.
- Cape of Good Hope - This area is home to a variety of South African fynbos, over 250 bird species, buck, baboons, and the Cape Point lighthouse. Guests will venture to the southwesternmost point of the African continent. The tour will first visit the Cape of Good Hope for photos at this popular landmark, then proceed to Cape Point, where the guide will accompany guests on a hike to the lighthouse or guests can opt for the funicular (ticket not included). The return route includes sightseeing in Muizenberg. Entrance fees to the Cape of Good Hope are ZAR 320 per adult and ZAR 160 per child. Locals believe the Cape of Good Hope is where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, though scientifically, this occurs at Cape Agulhas.
