- Bo-kaap - Next, we stop in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with its vibrant houses, which hold great historical importance. You might even have the chance to greet some locals if they are around. Your tour guide will share insights about the colorful houses and their historical significance.
- Camps Bay - Enjoy a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Three Anchor Bay, Bantry Bay, Clifton, and stopping in Camps Bay. Maiden’s Cove is the ideal spot for capturing stunning photos as you admire the breathtaking views of the Twelve Apostles and Camps Bay beach.
This cove is one of the top locations in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, along with views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the charming suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay, etc. This is what we call a Kodak moment.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, we drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. It’s no surprise that Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world.
- Hout Bay - Traveling along the Atlantic scenic seaboard, we pass through Llandudno, known for some of the most expensive real estate in South Africa, until we reach Hout Bay. Upon arrival at Hout Bay harbor, you have the option to take a 45-minute boat cruise to Seal Island to view the seals or shop at the market.
- Seal Island - If you opt for the boat trip to Seal Island, it will last 45 minutes. This excursion is weather-dependent. Please bring a light sweater as temperatures can drop at sea.
- Noordhoek Farm Village - We continue our coastal journey with an optional stop in Noordhoek, offering breathtaking views of Noordhoek and Long Beach below. Travelers can enjoy some of the finest coffee brewed in Cape Town at the Village Roast at their own expense.
- Cape Point Vineyards Tasting Room - An optional stop for wine tasting at the stunning Cape Point Vineyards is available. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and ocean views in the distance, cool sea breezes create a slow-growing season, resulting in a unique Sauvignon Blanc renowned worldwide for its rich minerality, structure, and tone. An optional sit-down lunch in their restaurant or a picnic lunch overlooking the man-made dam is highly recommended.
- Cape of Good Hope - We explore the Cape of Good Hope and capture our iconic photo with the Cape of Good Hope name board. Here, we also explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama monuments. Along the way, you’ll see beautiful beaches and various fauna and flora.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - From the Cape of Good Hope, we drive to Cape Point. Upon arrival, you can choose between a 15-minute hike or taking the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop is the Penguins colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even spot one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
- Muizenberg Beach - Our return route passes Muizenberg, where you’ll see the colorful beach huts. These huts serve as changing rooms and are reminiscent of the “bathing machine” of the 1800s, a cart-like structure wheeled to the water’s edge, allowing ladies to change into their bathing costumes.
- Cape Town Central - Drop-off will be back at guests’ accommodation in Cape Town at approximately 6:00 pm.
