- Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden - The tour begins with a visit to the renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden. Celebrated as Africa’s most beautiful garden and one of the world’s premier botanical gardens, it boasts over 22,000 plant species. This World Heritage Site offers a chance to admire some of the rarest and most exquisite flowers globally. It’s a must-visit in the Mother City, where you can take a moment to enjoy the roses.
- Muizenberg - Following the Botanical Garden, the tour proceeds to Muizenberg, a beachside suburb of Cape Town known as Surfers’ Corner. Located on the False Bay coast, it is famed as the birthplace of surfing in South Africa. Muizenberg features a long, sandy beach with gentle waves suitable for children, colorful changing huts, and warmer waters for swimming. It’s an ideal spot for beginner surfers due to its sandy bottom and gentle waves. Additional attractions include miniature golf and a water slide. You might even spot Humpback Bryde’s Whales (January-May) or Southern Right Whales (June-December).
- Simon’s Town - En route to the African Penguin Colony, the tour passes through Simon’s Town, a charming town nestled between mountains and the sea, 35km from Cape Town. Rich in history, your guide will share fascinating stories and insights about the town, including the tale of Just Nuisance. Named after Simon van der Stel, a Dutch governor, Simon’s Town was established as a naval base by the British in the early 19th century and remains significant in South Africa’s naval history. The town’s historical importance is reflected in its well-preserved buildings and landmarks, such as the Simon’s Town Museum and the South African Naval Museum.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - This unique and endangered land-based colony of African Penguins is a highlight of the tour. Here, you can observe these delightful creatures up close and, if possible, interact with them. This colony is one of the few of its kind worldwide.
- Cape Town - After a delightful day of exploration, you will be returned to your hotel, concluding the tour.
