Full Day Tour to Cape Peninsula and Boulders Beach
Afrogem - The tour begins with a visit to AFROGEM Diamonds, Tanzanites, and Gemstones jewelry design store. Afrogem, a family-run business, has been a leader in jewelry design and manufacturing since 1966. They were the first in South Africa to offer complimentary factory tours, a highlight for many tourists. Visitors can witness the art of diamond cutting and the meticulous craftsmanship of jewelry making by skilled experts, all while enjoying a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
Camp’s Bay Beach - The journey continues to the stunning scenery of Camps Bay, often referred to as the “Miami of Cape Town.” Nestled at the base of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the Twelve Apostles, this area is a hotspot for celebrities and tourists alike. A brief stop allows for photos, a stroll on the white sandy beach, and the chance to enjoy the fresh breeze from the blue flag sea. Visitors can also grab a quick coffee at Starbucks or a light snack.
Hout Bay - The tour proceeds to Hout Bay, another breathtaking location. Situated at the foot of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the Twelve Apostles, it is a popular spot for both celebrities and tourists. Here, guests can take photos, walk on the sandy beach, and enjoy the magnificent views and fresh sea breeze. A quick coffee or snack is also available.
Chapman’s Peak Drive - Leaving Hout Bay, the tour takes the world-renowned Chapman’s Peak Drive, a mountainside road known locally as “Chappies.” This engineering marvel stretches 9km along the majestic Chapman’s Peak mountains, which descend into the ocean like an avalanche. There are opportunities to stop for photos, enjoy the spectacular breeze, and even leave a mark by writing your name on Chapman’s Peak rocks.
Cape Point - Visitors can walk or take the funicular (at their own cost) to South Africa’s oldest lighthouse for a panoramic view of the national park. There are three routes to the top: a paved path along the coastline with stone staircases offering the best views, a steady climb from the car park, or the Flying Dutchman funicular, which reaches the viewpoint in just three minutes for a small fee.
Cape of Good Hope - Known as the corner of Africa, where the cold Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Although it is only the most south-westerly point of Africa, the Cape of Good Hope offers hiking trails to the summit for great sightseeing. The Cape of Good Hope sign is another attraction, often requiring guests to queue, as it is said that “if there is no queue, there is no hope.”
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Home to thousands of endangered African Penguins, Boulder’s Beach Penguin Colony offers the chance to walk on the beach, mingle, and take close-up photos of these charming flightless birds. This marks the last tour of the day before returning to Cape Town for hotel drop-off.
Cheetah Outreach Encounter and Stellenbosch Wine Tasting Full Day Tour
Cheetah Outreach - Somerset West - After morning pick-up from the hotel, the day begins with a cheetah encounter and personal interaction. Cheetah Outreach is an educational and community-based program aimed at raising awareness about the cheetah’s plight and advocating for its survival. Visitors can tour the facilities, learn about the center’s mission and work, interact with the cheetahs, and take photos.
Spier Wine Farm - Recognized as one of the 100 World’s Best Vineyards in 2021 and Editor’s Choice - Winery of the Year 2022, Spier offers wine tasting and food platters with views of the Helderberg mountains. Guests can admire the iconic Heath Nash chandelier, made from 334 recycled Spier wine bottles, and enjoy a set wine tasting with or without a food pairing, or choose from an olive, cheese, or cured meat board.
Delaire Graff Estate - Offering the ultimate Cape Winelands experience, Delaire Graff is dedicated to beauty in its many forms. Jeweler Laurence Graff has transformed this extraordinary natural setting into a world-class destination for wine, art, cuisine, and escape. Visitors can taste the estate’s exquisite wines in this breathtakingly beautiful setting.
Tokara Wine Estate - Located at the heart of the Cape Winelands on the southern slopes of the Simonsberg mountain, Tokara’s vineyards and olive groves offer unrivaled views over False Bay to Table Mountain.
Robben Island Historic Tour and Table Mountain
Castle of Good Hope - The day starts with a visit to the Castle of Good Hope, one of South Africa’s oldest buildings. This historical site captures events dating back 350 years. The Key Ceremony and Cannon Firing are part of the experience, though the Key Ceremony runs Monday to Friday, and Cannon Firing does not occur on Sundays. These ceremonies are weather-dependent.
Bo-kaap - Known as the Malay Quarter, Bo-Kaap is a multicultural neighborhood with colorful houses, predominantly populated by Muslims. It contains the largest concentration of pre-1850 architecture in South Africa and is Cape Town’s oldest surviving residential neighborhood. Visitors can experience the vibrant houses, learn about Bo-Kaap’s history and culture, taste Cape Malay cuisine, mingle with locals, and take photos.
Robben Island Museum - Guests will take a shared trip to Robben Island Museum, where a resident tour guide will lead the tour. The entire tour lasts 4 hours, including a 30-minute boat trip each way and hotel drop-off. Part of the tour involves a bus ride around the island, visiting Nelson Mandela’s prison cell and taking “The Long Walk to Freedom.” Upon returning to the Jetty, the tour guide/driver will meet guests at the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island for the return journey.
Table Mountain National Park - The tour includes a visit to the magnificent Table Mountain, one of the new seven wonders of nature. Guests can take a cableway cart to the top, enjoy breathtaking views of the city and ocean, and take photos. On top of this iconic mountain, visitors will learn about its history, explore, see small animals like squirrels, and capture memories with photos and videos. After exploring, guests can choose to walk down the mountain or take the cableway back, concluding the Table Mountain tour.
