The journey starts with a brief city orientation drive to view significant monuments and buildings in the Cape Town City Centre.
- Bo-kaap - Shortly after collecting guests from hotels and guest houses, the first stop is at the historical and cultural site of Bo-Kaap. Here, the tour guide will give you the opportunity to capture Instagram-worthy photos of the vibrant houses. Once an area where South Africans faced oppression through slavery, Bo-Kaap now stands as a symbol of freedom. A visit to Cape Town is incomplete without stopping here.
- Table Mountain Aerial Cableway - Discover the stunning beauty of Table Mountain, a flat-topped peak that defines the Cape Town skyline. Enjoy an exhilarating cable car ride to the summit, where panoramic views of the city, Table Bay, and surrounding mountains await. On clear days, you might even glimpse Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. The mountain’s distinctive flat top hosts diverse flora and fauna, including the renowned Table Mountain ghost pipevine and the rare Cape leopard toad. Stroll leisurely around the plateau or embark on one of the many trails for a more adventurous experience.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - The next destination is the Penguins colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will lead you to the viewing point to observe some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even encounter one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
Home to thousands of endangered tuxedo swimmers, Boulders Beach is the habitat of the African Penguins. Here, you can walk on the beach and capture close-up photos of these flightless birds.
- Old Cape Point Lighthouse - Take a walk and ride the funicular (at your own expense) to South Africa’s third oldest lighthouse for a 360-degree view of the national park. The old lighthouse, launched in 1860, was decommissioned 40 years later after studies showed its high altitude posed a danger to sailors who couldn’t see it from a lower altitude.
- Cape of Good Hope - Known as the corner of Africa where the cold Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. The Cape of Good Hope is the most southwesterly point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit offer excellent opportunities for activity and sightseeing. The Cape of Good Hope site is a major attraction, often requiring guests to queue, and it is said that when there is no queue, there is no hope.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Renowned as one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, located on the western side of the Cape Peninsula. This road offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Western Mountains of the Cape Peninsula on the other. Enjoy the refreshing sea air, take photos, listen to the brief history of this masterpiece, and leave your mark by writing your name on the bench wall as a memory of your visit. A brief stop will be made here before proceeding to Cape Point.
- Cape Town Central - The tour concludes with a drop-off at any accommodation around Cape Town City Centre, or you can specify a preferred drop-off location within the area.
