- Bo-Kaap - The pick-up will be at your accommodation in Cape Town at 9:00 am. However, we are flexible, so if you prefer an earlier or later pick-up time, please let us know when booking. After picking you up, we will travel through the city to see historical monuments and buildings. We will then stop in the Bo-Kaap (Cape Malay Quarter) for a photo opportunity with the vibrant houses, which hold great historical significance. You might even have the chance to greet some locals if they are around. Located at the foot of Signal Hill, on the edge of the city center, Bo-Kaap’s origins date back to the 1760s when many rental houses were built and leased to slaves. These individuals, known as Cape Malays, were brought from Malaysia, Indonesia, and other parts of Africa to work in the Cape. The choice of color is said to be because, while on lease, all houses had to be white. When this rule was lifted, and the slaves could buy the properties, the houses were painted bright colors by their owners as an expression of freedom.
- Table Mountain - After visiting the Malay Quarter, we will head to South Africa’s iconic Table Mountain, one of the world’s major tourist attractions. Experience breathtaking views of the Mother City, and the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. You will take a cableway. Please remember to bring a jersey and wear comfortable shoes.
- Camps Bay - We will take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, with mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, passing through Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno, and Hout Bay. We will stop at Maiden’s Cove for a photo opportunity with magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles as a backdrop. This cove is one of the best places in Cape Town for panoramic photos of the ocean, Camps Bay Beach, combined with views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, and the beautiful suburbs of Clifton and Camps Bay. It is the perfect spot for amazing pictures.
- Chapman’s Peak Drive - Departing from Camps Bay, we will drive along Chapman’s Peak and stop at the viewpoint for spectacular photos. It’s no wonder Chapman’s Peak is one of the most scenic routes in the world, with impeccable views.
- Cape of Good Hope - Our tour culminates at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point Lighthouse. Here, we will explore the Dias & Vasco Da Gama Crosses. These two explorers were the first Europeans to arrive in Cape Town around 1487 & 1495. If you wish to hike, please speak to your guide. Kindly wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sunscreen, a jersey or jacket, and a hat.
- Cape Point - From the Cape of Good Hope, we will have the option to either take a short hike to Cape Point or use the Funicular. Lunch can be enjoyed at the Two Oceans restaurant for a sit-down meal or at the informal eatery for takeout. Here, we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as Cape Point, where the cold Benguela current from the Atlantic Ocean meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. We will explore the lighthouse and more.
- Boulders Beach Penguin Colony - Our next stop will be the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins up close. You might even find one or two of these charming creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
- Muizenberg - We will end our tour by stopping at the colorful houses in Muizenberg. Enjoy the warmer Cape waters of the Indian Ocean. If you enjoy surfing, this is the place for you, and there are restaurants and shops available for snacks and mini shopping.
