Great Birding, Lovely Sunset, Wonderful Guides - The Sunset Cruise was an incredible way to spend an evening in Cape May. Bob and Patty made it really fun. Their knowledge of the local bird populations was seriously impressive — you could tell this isn't just a job for them, it's a genuine passion. They knew all the best spots for viewing, and were especially amazing when it came to the osprey families in the area, pointing out nests, explaining behaviors, and sharing little details about each osprey's history. We saw so many birds throughout the cruise, and Bob and Patty struck a great balance between being incredibly informative and keeping things fun and relaxed — never felt like a lecture, just great conversation with people who clearly love what they do. They were as excited as we were to see each and every bird. If you're even a little bit interested in birds (or just want a gorgeous evening on the water with knowledgeable guides), do not miss this cruise.

Birding in the Salt Marsh and Beyond - We had a great experience on the Osprey. Captain Bob and Pat were excellent guides and birders. We saw many species of birds, some up close! The pontoon boat was comfortable and it was easy to see the birds from inside and outside the cabin. I recommend this adventure!

Birding by boat made our day!!! - This is a great trip to see up close a wide variety of birds, some we have seen before and some new exciting sitings. The guide and the captain were both knowledgeable and full of details about the birds, their habits, and their environment. Really fun and really worth it!!

Nature Lover's Dream! - The boat captain and naturalist onboard the tour are extremely familiar with the geography of the area and the wildlife. They tailor each tour to the interests of their guests onboard. The captain navigates to accommodate photographers. This is THE boat tour to take in Cape May for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts! I take my elementary aged child on a boat trip with this company every year. It isn't designed for families, necessarily, but if your child is interested in nature, marine life, or birds, they will love it. (My son is an aspiring ornithologist!) The naturalist on board is very skilled at adapting her messaging and explanations to all ages and all knowledge levels.

Never Disappointed - I have taken this trip several times over the years and always marveled at the enthusiasm of the guides as if it's the first time conducting the trip. The Captain goes out of his way to make sure the passengers see all of the interesting birding sites along with factual dialogue. Looking forward to next year's trip!

Awesome Visit to Birds of the Marshes and Sound - Captain Bob is an extremely knowledgeable seaman and naturalist and well familiar with the Sound and marshes to show his passengers the birds that frequent them. Vince, the first mate, is an experienced birder who was quick to spot the birds, provide information about them, and help the passengers see them. Everyone had a great experience as a result of these two leaders.

Birding by boat on the Osprey. - I was very excited to take this tour with my girlfriend, as I am a advanced photographer specializing in wildlife, nature, and birding. Booking was extremely easy and took less than five minutes on line. A day later a got an email conformation that we were booked with info on the time and meeting place to leave the dock. Captain Bob met everyone after helping them park their cars and we boarded the Osprey platoon boat and left the dock about 10:05. It was a fairly big boat and held the 15 to 18 people comfortably along with everyone's belongings and mostly their camera equipment. We were allowed to move around the boat from one side to another and take photos of the birds which were pointed out by captain Bob and our nature guide. There were times he stopped the boats so everyone could get photos of all the birds. We saw Ospreys and their baby chicks, herons,Ibris, and different species of sea gulls. It was a great two hour adventure in the back bays of Cap May, NJ and the marshes and open areas going out from the back bay and marshes. We also saw a lot of horse shoe crabs trying to climb up the banks from the water. For those who didn't bring binoculars they let you borrow a pair free . They also had birding t-shirts for sale at the end of the tour. This was such a exciting trip to see birds in there natural habitat and photographing them from close up with a telephoto lens. This trip made my day and it was not rushed as captain Bob took his time explaining and showing exactly where the birds were. If you are in Cape May, please book this tour on the Osprey. You will not be disappointed and you will also get great professional photographic results, and a great experience with nature.

Lots of birds but the... - Lots of birds but the naturalist was not onboard for our trip and I think we suffered a little. We are not bird experts and the boat captain was good at pointing out birds but then didn’t say much about them unless we asked. He told us that the naturalist didn’t want to brave the traffic on the Fourth of July weekend for the tour and I’m assuming the naturalist would’ve had a lot more to say. Also bring bug spray or wear long pants because it got buggy when the boat wasn’t moving.
