Unbeatable - I went a week ago with my husband and both the attention of the instructors and the staff of the shop of 10! They're great professionals. You rating the effort spent so many years. We will return without hesitation.

Unbeatable place to start in surfing - It's three years now, and always great. Lovely staff, good location, and the only but sometimes no waves, but in summer you know.

My SURF experience! - After finishing my second stay in somo, thanks to the surf camp and the ECS classes I only have to say, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! For the professionalism of each and every one of the incredible team that David "capi" built CEO of the Cantabra Surf School. From the reception girls for their attention and patience to solve any doubt, through the monitors, Pepe, Borja, Saul, Marcos, Manu, Manolo, Oriol, Chipi, Javi, Pau, Andrea, Sergio, Dani etc to which of them better, people who transmit and teach you the values of this wonderful sport always with a smile, great professionals and great people. Going through Miguel and Nacho. Finishing by stones, the surfcamper who is a wonderful person! I definitely recommend this school for anyone who is interested in starting surfing or wants to perfect their technique. Without a doubt it is a unique experience, where not only the surfing people of somo will already transport you to a place of calm and peace but the JST taught you how incredible the world of surfing is.

Surf camp for a week of teenagers - My 13 and 15 year olds attended this year’s week-long Surf Camp. My eldest son could, despite the shortcomings, enjoy the camp, my eldest son was so tasted that already the second day he would want to go out. We start with the positive bridges. Both will value the daily surf session as very professional, well done by friendly and competent teachers. The food gets a good rating and especially the children who participated. On the other hand, the campsite, the tents and the situation where they are set up are very poor. It is a sloping piece of land, where wall to wall are put the tents in full sun. What has spoiled their stay was mainly the offer of "to do" when there were no activities. There was no room to be, not even to move. For 120 children, an awning of about 12m2 of "common area", a ping pong table without shovels and a broken table football were offered. There was no permit to go to the beach except for an afternoon "activity." They didn't know where to put themselves. In the afternoon there was no possibility to use the material and practice what has been learned in the morning. They still say that physically they could not have had another session, since you have to walk a sandy trail 20 minutes taking the surfboard until you reach the beach. Evening activities were assessed as very poor, monitors with very little understanding and rather military tone. In the graffiti course they say that the monitor could do well, but was not able to transmit anything to his students. The same applies for the break dancing activity. Considering the experience of my children I value the price of greatly exaggerated. I hope that next year we will find another surf camp with children just as friendly and competent surf teachers that also in the rest of the time offers to spend time with dignity.

The place did not meet our expectations. The monitors were unresponsive, and after surfing, participants were required to bathe in cold water. Sleeping arrangements were also uncomfortable, with kids having to sleep on the cold floor for a week. It would have been helpful to be advised to bring sleeping bags and blankets. Given these issues, I would not recommend this location, especially since there are better surfing options in the area.
