The experience was... - The experience was amazing! John, our cave guide, was super knowledgeable and friendly. Expect the activity to be quite physical, but kids and older folks on our tour were still able to finish the tour easily. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Banff.

Exceptional guiding from experienced cavers - Emily was an exceptionally talented tour guide. She's funny, calm and patient, and had "the touch" with every member of our group, including a neurodivergent individual. Canmore Caves is lucky to have her. The tour itself was great, although I would recommend it to individuals who are reasonably fit. Wearing shoes with traction is also highly advised.

Sarah was an excellent cave guide. - This was probably the most memorable activity my sister and I did. Scary, informative, exertive, fun and our best conversation topic for days to come. Sarah was awesome at explaining along the way and preparing us for sights and activities. I would just remind people that this requires strength and balance. I want to experience the world in new ways and this did not disappoint.

Caving in Canmore - This was super fun! Annie was our guide and she was fantastic. We (2 adults and a 17 and a 19 year old) have never done anything like this in the past. This is not a cave tour where it is a straight walking path. You have to slither and slide to get through at times. You have to crawl and pull yourselves up. It is only 4 degrees Centigrade (40 F), so you need to make sure you have some layers. They give you a thin coverall and gloves, so you don’t have to worry about getting your clothes stained. You hike UP for about 45 min to the entrance to the cave which is the only hot part. Bring your layers with you to put on after the hike. You can’t bring in water to the cave, but make sure you have enough for the hike there and back. You can bring a snack inside with you. Overall, this is highly recommended.

Outstanding - This was one of my boys most favorite adventures ever (ages 14-18). Adam was our guide and he was awesome. TBH I was really anxious most of the time, but that's also cuz I am a chicken. Only thing I would suggest is to eat a lot before you go (or bring snacks) because it is a good amount of time with the hike plus the caving. Also, this requires a fair level of fitness. The hike isn't hard, but it is steep, and there is a lot of climbing on slippery surfaces in the cave. Really amazing excursion.

The hike to the cave... - The hike to the cave opening is intense but our guide, Emily, was great at stopping for quick breaks. Once we got to the top, she thoroughly explained how to put on all the gear (which you carry in a backpack provided). And then we were off. It was a fantastic tour and experience. Emily was awesome and so knowledgeable, plus she comes from a family who has been caving for decades, so we always felt safe and confident with her.

Unforgettable and fear-conquering - This activity, rat nest cave exploration is incredibly cool and diverse. A highlight of our trip in Canada. Ayla is super skilled and has guided us very calmly and motivatingly through the difficult parts. The hike to the cave is interesting and a nice warm-up. Then it's serious: climbing into the cave and immersing yourself in another world. The temperature is low and it's dark. Helmet lights on and pay close attention to where you are walking and where to go. Safety is important and you are well advised. You can and may skip all tight challenging sections, so it is an experience that is accessible to many. Our group did all the tight parts and thanks to Ayla we all managed and had a lot of fun. The wonders of the cave are also beautiful and we would very much like to come again. Definitely worth to go caving with this group! (Male 42, female 44, child 11)

Terrible Tour!! Will not recommend to ANYONE! - Extremely strenuous hike and cave tour, wouldn't recommend even for moderately fit people. Even very fit 20 some year olds who traveled in our group just wanted the tour to end. They said they had previous hiking experience, and this one was horrible. The lady who answers the phone is extremely rude and insensitive. The ease/description of the tour and hike is quite underplayed. The cave is very wet and cold, especially if it rains. Please DO NOT fall for the pics or description.
