The water is incredibly warm, blue, and crystal clear in Cozumel pretty much year round. It's a divers paradise that is unrivaled by virtually any other marine location. You should wear what you're normally comfortable swimming in. Many people scuba dive here in shorts and a t-shirt, but you may wish to wear a rash guard. It is rare you'll need a wetsuit here. Reef safe sunscreen is advised for those who burn easily. Zinc works amazingly well, and doesn't cause harm to fragile marine life.
