From the beginning there was uncertainty about whether there was direct pick up from our particular hotel. I think that this should be clear when booking the excursion (a drop down menu in the booking software). So much about the trip was unexplained when booking from the amigo site. There was no mention of the lunch or how long the tour was going to be. As it was, the driver was over an hour later than suggested pick up time and we began to think the bus was not coming. Pick ups started at 5:30 am in the morning and we got to Coba just before 10 am! The tour guide Arturo was nice and knew quite a bit about Mayan culture. The bicycle ride and climb to the top of the temple was fun if not a bit treacherous. I think to make the trip better there should be fewer hotel pick ups so that the journey to and back from the hotels would not be so long. As it was, the my fellow travellers were frustrated and unhappy.
