One of the best! - One of the best snorkeling trips I have been on! The guides know what they are doing! We saw tons of fish, a sting ray, eels, and a turtle! It’s a great tour if you don’t want to spend all day gone from your resort as well. We booked the 9 am tour and were back at the resort at noon. You can’t beat the experience for the price. The smaller boat ensures a smaller group and that was also very nice.

We traveled to several... - We traveled to several snorkel spots. The crew made us feel safe. Our kids are 13 and 11, both had the time of their life. We saw many schools of fish and a beautiful sea turtle. It was a very special experience. Highly recommend.

Multiple snorkel sites in one morning! - Our group of four went with Total Snorkel 2 days ago for a morning snorkel visit to multiple sites. They communicated well before the trip as there were concerns about the weather but it turned out to be a beautiful day. The boat is small, only ten people max for this trip as well as captain Juan, guide Daisy and photographer Monse. We were picked up at our hotel right on time. It was a little chaotic at the port as there were two or three different groups going out around the same time and people were being issued snorkel equipment and life vests. We had brought our own equipment so escaped needing to get in the water to test equipment before getting on the boat. The first snorkel stop was a sea cave underwater which was interesting to see but was not the cenote we were expecting. We saw a big stingray which was great. The second stop was underwater sculptures (what is called the Musa) and beautiful fish. The next stop was to see turtles which we did get to follow for a bit which everyone loved. The last stop was the shipwreck which had SO many fish. You definitely need to pay attention to where Daisy is, as it’s easy to get mixed in with other groups. The various captains and guides are very helpful if you do get separated and will direct you back to your boat and group. Each group has some type of distinguishing feature (we had pink wrist bands, another company had life jackets that were all the same but different from other companies, etc). Daisy was a great guide, and Monse was terrific too- diving down to show us things and taking lots of pictures. Captain Juan was very helpful as well. This isn’t a great trip for very small children unless they are good swimmers. Daisy was terrific with the one small boy (maybe 5 years old) in our group when she saw he was struggling at the first snorkel stop, pulling him around on a flotation ring for the remaining stops. If you are at all prone to seasickness you should either take something ahead of time, or this may not be the trip for you. One of our group managed the first snorkel stop then unfortunately got seasick and remained that way for the rest of the trip. You see a lot in a very short time. We were on the water probably about 2 hours. You just need to know what to expect and it’ll be a great trip!

Fish, turtles and surprise visit from a stingray - We did the 5 stop-cenote, coral reef, ship wreck, turtle and statue tour for $75 USD each plus $20 for the park. It was supposed to be in 9 ft of water so I figured we would be closer to the fish than the other tour that included 6 stops and deeper water. We saw so many fish and a large variety of fish.I was really impressed. The tour only had 8 people max so it was great, we weren’t swimming into each other. I would say you should be a good, confident swimmer because we swam a distance plus you also need to be strong to get up the ladder of the boat.

disappointing - Apart from the fact that you are asked for tips at each stop, water tours are very short and disappointing. The general organization is grounded, in charter mode.

Kind of disappointing - We were really looking forward to this turtle snorkeling experience, but unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. First, we didn’t see a single turtle. I understand wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed, but the whole excursion felt very unstructured. They basically dropped us off in the middle of the ocean and had us swim around on our own. You definitely need to be a strong swimmer because the water is deep and there isn’t much guidance. Since it’s so deep, it was also hard to see much of anything below. The “cenote” portion was also not what we expected based on the photos and other reviews. It was essentially a large hole about 30 feet deep in the ocean. It didn’t resemble the beautiful cenotes shown in pictures, so that part felt misleading. Getting in and out of the boat was also difficult and not very well assisted, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, I’m honestly surprised by how positive many of the other reviews are. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the expectations that were set.

Overbooked - We didn’t actually get to go because it was overbooked and they cancelled on us and when we got the refund it was less than what we had paid because of the exchange rate.
