- Puente Chuquicahuana - The adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Cusco at 8:00 a.m., followed by a drive of about 1 hour and 45 minutes to the Chuquicahuana area, situated southwest of Cusco. This upper section of the Urubamba River, known in Quechua as the “golden river,” is renowned for its pristine waters, thrilling rapids, and stunning Andean scenery.
Upon reaching the starting point, a safety briefing will be conducted, and all necessary rafting gear will be provided. Participants will then embark on a river journey lasting approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, navigating 17 km (9 miles) of rapids and continuous waves, all amidst breathtaking natural surroundings.
After the tour, a delightful homemade picnic lunch will be served in a serene setting. The activity wraps up around 4:00 p.m., with a return trip to Cusco.

You don’t need any prior rafting experience, making it an excellent choice for beginners, families and groups of friends. Group Service: At least four individuals, private service available on demand. The rafting takes place in the upper part of the Urubamba river surrounded by stunning mountain landscapes, with clean water and continuous waves and rapids. It takes a drive of 1 hour and 45 minutes to the South West of Cusco, once arriving at our lunch spot, we’ll provide a safety briefing and all necessary rafting equipment. Chuquicahuana is the local name for the upper section of the Urubamba river in Quechua. The route covers 9 miles or approximately 17 km in about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Towards the end, enjoy a home-cooked picnic lunch. Pick-ups from hotels start around 8:00 am and the activity ends around 4:00 pm. Rafting experience is not necessary.
