The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon as I found myself in the heart of Canas, ready to embark on a new adventure. The Tenorio River was calling, and I couldn’t resist the allure of its wild rapids. As a seasoned surfer, I’m no stranger to the thrill of water sports, but this was my first time trading my surfboard for a paddle. The anticipation was electric.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a team of enthusiastic guides, each one radiating the warmth and friendliness that Costa Rica is known for. Among them was Oscar, a guide whose infectious energy set the tone for the day.
