Extraordinary! - It was a truly extraordinary experience. Mayu, our guide, accompanied us to discover the Calakmul jungle, telling us with great passion about the archaeology and history of the site, but also the flora and fauna that surround it. An immersive and fascinating experience, which allowed us to get to know Calakmul not only through its ruins, but also through the nature that has guarded them for centuries. Absolutely recommended!

Kalakmul: nature and Mayan history - The driver was punctual to pick us up. The guide was knowledgeable of his topics both for the archeological site, and the reserve. Both staff were careful, polite. They stopped many times for us to be able to see the different animals on the way. Also, we were provided with a snack, light lunch and water. A successful trip.

Great Experience in the Selva - The tour was well organized by Ka'an Expedition. They picked us up at the hotel Casa Ka'an, it was only the two of us. The driver had a nice car, new and clean we picked up the guide 45 min to Xpujil and he was also kind and knowledgable. I recommend visiting Calakmul as they are ruins in the jungle, with very few people around. You can still climb the pyramids and get a breathtaking view of the selva. Picnic organized by the company, well prepared and tasty. Recommended!

Calakmul, total experience!!! - Since they pick you up at Casa Ka'an on time, it's a good sign. The road to Calakmul is long - about 100 km - but it's worth it because you can see animals; we saw turkeys, chachalacas, monkeys, birds, and even a small snake - remember to never leave the paths. Once in Calakmul, they offer you water and fruit to have energy and hydration. The tour was simply amazing, beyond words, and Manuel - our guide - made this experience complete. We walked quite a few kilometers; it is necessary to wear appropriate footwear and sunscreen. The trip information mentioned snacks at the end, but what we never expected was that a table with food, water, soft drinks, and ice was waiting for us in the parking lot. It was such a nice detail, something like water in the desert, in this case, in the jungle. Very good experience with ka’an. I forgot to mention that I traveled with a friend, and we always felt safe.

recommended - It's an intense and detailed tour in Calakmul, which I preferred more than our visit in Chichen Itza. The guide was very well informed and timw passed quickly.

Breathtaking experience - Exploring Calakmul was an incredibly unique experience. It felt like a trip back in time, with incredible views and the chance to see some amazing wildlife. We were very lucky to have Manuel who was an excellent guide and a fountain of knowledge for all the flora, fauna and Mayan history. Can't recommend this trip highly enough.

A good visit to Calakmul - The tour was as advertised. Picked up on time, van was comfortable, driver and guide were professional & the picnic lunch was nice. There were 5 participants on our tour. My only comment would be to improve the story-telling capability of the guide - that makes a good guide great. The guide delivered relevant information but did not elaborate in a way that made it an overall interesting and more memorable story. I would recommend this tour company but there is some professional development which could be done to make the tour even better.

Quite good - Manuel made a great tour and after just under 5 hours we were back at the hotel . We have seen howler monkeys and monkeys and an eagle, of course also the Mayan sites. The tour was interesting but the price too expensive!!! We ended up having a picnic between the cars in the parking lot, which was very nicely done and lovingly arranged.

Fingers off, price performance is not right!!! - Far too expensive for a guided tour of about 4 hours !!! Pick-up with 2 hours delay and then first to the museum without explanation. Afterwards to 3 sites of the Mayans with possibility to climb and in between we saw monkeys. Highlight was a lovingly built snack by the guide in the parking lot between the cars. For this we paid 120 euros per person, definitely not appropriate!!!!
