Visitors can explore the Convict Brick Trail that runs through the town, visit the historic Red Bridge, and admire the tree sculptures that illustrate the town’s history.
- Cape Tourville Lighthouse - Upon entering Freycinet National Park, the breathtaking view of The Hazards mountain range welcomes visitors. The adventure starts with a walk around the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit. This easy 20-minute walk, one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, offers stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding coastline.
- Wineglass Bay Lookout - After packing lunch, the group embarks on a walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. This moderate uphill walk takes about 60 minutes. At the top, the world-renowned view of Wineglass Bay and the beautiful Freycinet National Park awaits. Visitors can savor the moment, enjoy the views, and let the guide assist with capturing memorable photographs. The walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout is one of Tasmania’s Great Short Walks, requiring good mobility and fitness. It is a 1.3 km uphill trek, followed by a downhill return.
- Wineglass Bay - From the Lookout, there is an option to return to the starting point with the tour guide, or for those eager to hike further, the Wineglass Bay beach hike is available. This 2.5-hour return walk requires good fitness. The tour allows ample time to complete the full walk to Wineglass Bay Beach and back. On the beach, visitors can enjoy lunch in a stunning setting, swim in the pristine waters, or stroll along the white sands. This is one of Tasmania’s most rewarding walks to a breathtaking location.
- Honeymoon Bay - For those opting for a shorter walk, the return from the Lookout with the Tour Guide allows time to relax at Honeymoon Bay in the afternoon.
The group then prepares for the return journey. The final stop on the East Coast is the beautiful Devil’s Corner Winery, where visitors can enjoy the magnificent view. On-site, wine tasting, wood-fired pizza, fresh seafood, and ice creams are available at personal expense. The journey concludes with a return to Launceston around 6.00 pm.

- A small amount of walking is involved; a suitable level of general health & fitness and physical abilities is essential
- We provide accurate interpretation, and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimize negative impacts.
- Hotel pickup time is between 7:00am and 7:30am depending on your location. Hotel pickup is available from central city Hotels and Hostels ( no AirBnB’s). Please arrange pickup from your hotel at least 48 hours prior to departure with the tour operator.
