- Preah Vihear Temple - Begin your day with an early departure. Our team will collect your group at 5:30 AM, so kindly request your hotel to prepare breakfast boxes for you. We will stop in the quaint town of Anlong Veng for breakfast. Anlong Veng holds historical significance as the last stronghold and de facto capital of the Khmer Rouge until 1998, and it is where Pol Pot passed away. The town features several historical sites, including the former residence of Ta Mok, which many visitors choose to explore.
After Anlong Veng, we proceed to the magnificent Hindu temple of Preah Vihear, situated on the crest of the Dângrêk Mountain range near the Thai border. Preah Vihear, dating from the Angkorian period (9th–12th centuries), is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the temple terraces, you can enjoy breathtaking views across the plain and even into Thailand. We will spend about two hours exploring the temple complex, its detailed carvings, and the stunning cliffside views.
- Koh Ker Temple - After a lunch break, we will visit the Koh Ker temples. This remote site features intriguing Hindu monuments located approximately 125 kilometers northeast of Siem Reap city. This historical site was established by King Jayavarman IV, who constructed numerous temples in the area.
Koh Ker is also known as Chhoark Koki and Lingas Puravida. This journey offers a wonderful opportunity to combine your visit to Koh Ker & Preah Vihear temple.
You will have the opportunity to explore notable temples such as Prasat Koh Ker, Prasat Thom, Prasat Bram (famous for its five towers), Prasat Neang Khmao, Prasat Chrab, Prasat Damrei, and Prasat Krachab. Additionally, enhance your experience by visiting local farms, including those growing durian, pepper, banana, cashew, and tapioca. The journey will take you through beautiful countryside, showcasing picturesque rice fields and charming villages, offering a glimpse into the local way of life. The Koh Ker group temples provide a stunning backdrop and rich history.
- Siem Reap - After your delightful visit today, we will arrange your transfer back to your hotel in Siem Reap. We hope you enjoy your stay and take some time to relax and unwind. If you have any questions or need assistance during your time in Siem Reap, please feel free to reach out.
