Phnom Kulen Waterfall & River of 1000 Lingas

Phnom Kulen National Park - Breakfast is served at the hotel at 7:00 am. Meet with your guide and transfer from the hotel to the base of Kulen Mountain, a 50-minute drive. Upon arrival, receive water from the cool box and begin the ascent. The first 2 km is uphill and rocky. Trek up the mountain slope, visit the natural water spring from the Buddha’s foot, and enjoy the panoramic view. Trek through the dense forest and admire the magnificent waterfall of Kulen Mountain. Visit the Hindu carvings on Kulen’s riverbed, a sacred site for many Khmer people.

Explore the River of Thousand Lingas beneath the riverbed, believed to bring fertility and blessings to the Angkor area as it flows from Kulen to Siem Reap. Walk 700 meters to visit the Grand Reclining Buddha. Kulen Mountain remains a sacred place for locals. Enjoy swimming in the 30-meter-high waterfall. Continue to the pagoda for an overnight stay in the camp. Dinner is arranged by locals near the camp.

Kulen Mountain, Sras Domrei, Ancient Meditation Cave

Phnom Kulen National Park - Breakfast is provided by locals. Continue the journey by hiking along the pilgrim path to discover the hidden Sra Damrei (The Elephant Pond) in the dense jungle, constructed during the Angkor era as part of the lost city. Next, trek through the jungle trail to explore the friendly nature, surroundings, hear birds singing, and feel the tranquility. The trek takes approximately 3.5 hours before reaching the waiting car, then drive to the Koh Ker area for an overnight stay in the camp. Dinner is arranged by locals near the camp. Koh Ker Temple - Perng Komnou - Siem Reap

Koh Ker Temple - Breakfast is provided by locals. Set off to visit the remnants of the Khmer Empire’s capital, the Pre-Angkorian temple “Koh Ker,” constructed in the late 9th century. Discover the amazing pyramid architecture, unparalleled in its seven-tiered, 36-meter-high structure. The double sanctuary (Prasat Thom) follows a linear plan, unlike the concentric designs of most Khmer kings’ temples.

Proceed south of Koh Ker, traveling approximately 1 hour to Svay Leur to reach the base of the Kulen Mountains. The first 20 minutes involve hiking uphill to reach Perng Komnou, built by King Jayavarma II. Enjoy a unique trekking adventure to Perng Komnou and savor a day without tourists and crowded temples. Return to Siem Reap for an overnight stay on your own. End of tour services.
