• Beng Mealea - The day begins at 8:00 AM with a visit to Prasat Beng Mealea. This is the most renowned remote jungle temple in Cambodia, situated about 66 km northeast of Siem Reap city. Beng Mealea is a stunning ruin that remains in harmony with nature in its original, untouched state. It has not undergone any restoration or conservation projects. The temple opened to visitors in the early 2000s after landmines were cleared. Constructed by King Suriyavarman II and completed by King Dharanindravarman II, it features a sarcophagus-like urn and an “Indiana Jones” atmosphere with piles of fallen stones and dark galleries. It’s a delightful experience, provided visitors exercise caution during their visit!

• Koh Ker Temple - Following the remarkable visit to Beng Mealea, the journey continues to the magnificent Koh Ker. Known as the ancient capital city of King Jayavarman IV, this historic site, originally called Chhoarkoki or Lingapura, hosts hundreds of Hindu temples.

Once a flourishing capital under King Jayavarman IV, Koh Ker was distinguished by its sacred sanctuaries, fertile farmlands, water reservoirs, rivers, and lively communities with traditional houses. King Jayavarman IV is celebrated as one of the most notable rulers of the Khmer Empire. Visiting Koh Ker offers a unique insight into this captivating historical period. This tour is a rare opportunity, as not many tourists have the chance to explore this ancient city. While some of the sacred sanctuaries may not be accessible, all the major ones are open.
