Great experience - Picked up on time, great guide in Cathy, great driver in Gregori, Guadalest and Algar falls were well worth the visit as was the 'wiggly drive ' there. Cathy was very informative and it was lovely having suffucient free time to enjoy both locations. Would definitely use again

Highlight of our holiday - do not miss out - We had a fantastic trip with Gregory as our driver and Kathy as our guide. Kathy met us in our hotel reception and was so friendly right from the off. She was a very informative, reassuring, and kind voice throughout the trip. We felt very safe in Gregory’s capable hands on the roads. I was impressed by he and Kathy’s knowledge of the local area (even outwith the designated stops). Kathy was just a fantastic guide. She gave us a lot of information on the coach and when we first stopped to ensure we wouldn’t get lost etc. It was also really clear that she had really strong relationships with the shop owners and locals at Guadalest and Algar which was a great endorsement for both her and them. (Also resulting in great services for us!) At both stops, we had two hours to explore on our own. For Guadalest, we purchased 3x museum tickets at a special rate from Kathy. We initially explored the village then went to the museums. We were so impressed by Guadalest (gorgeous) but also by all three museums. We would really recommend any other visitors also attend. Don’t be fooled by how small Guadalest is, as we felt we were a little tight for time to fully enjoy and explore, however I think the two hours was a fair length of time in terms of the full day tiring you out somewhat. As for Algar - wow. Admission to the waterfalls was included in the tour price. Kathy led us up to the waterfalls to ensure we got in okay and let us know the best facilities to try for food or drink in the area. We spent most of our two hours at the waterfalls itself and really really enjoyed it. We were able to meet Kathy and much of the rest of our group at a cafe down the road (we both had to grab just a quick ice lolly as a snack) ahead of going back to our bus. Again, perhaps a bit tight for time however having been to Guadalest, travelled to Algar, then travelling home, I think in the picture of the full day the time we had was sufficient. We both said it was one of the absolute highlights of our holiday. Two fantastic places, made all the better by wonderful organisation and knowledge. Nothing I would change about this trip and would highly recommend to others. I will also be looking out for Round Town Travel to book any excursions through them next time I am in Spain. Well done Kathy and Gregory, great trip.

Wilfred The Great! - We went on this trip today as a family of four…with a 17 year old and 16 year old. Pick up was prompt… transport and driver were both great… Guadalest was simply beautiful. Just the right amount of time there before we headed to the waterfalls…stunning but cold. Again, just the right amount of time there. Wilf was our guide and we couldn’t have wished for better. He was polite, respectful, professional and very funny. He was attentive and explained everything clearly. It came across that he took such pride in tie role and genuinely wanted us all to have the best time… which we did ( even the teenagers!!) Thank you so much Wilf… one of the highlights of our holiday.

Beautiful places to visit but insufficient time - This was our second booking with Round Town having done the excursion to Valencia a fortnight before (which was excellent). We had heard that Guadalest was lovely and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately we were advised to ensure that we ate in Guadalest as the guide said that she wasn’t certain whether any cafes would be open at the falls. Unfortunately this took up 40 mins of our 2 hours in Guadalest meaning that we missed out on one of the museums we’d pre-paid for on the coach and didn’t see other parts of the village we’d like to have seen. This advice proved to be incorrect as there were several cafes open at Algar Falls and the two hours spent at the falls proved to be far too long (particularly in February when it was too cold to take a dip!). So what should have been a lovely day out proved to be somewhat frustrating. We were disappointed that someone from Round Town (or the guide herself) didn’t phone ahead to some of the restaurants or the gatehouse at the falls to check what was open so that the information that was being given was accurate. You do, after all, run this excursion on a weekly basis and so I was surprised that the guide wasn’t aware of what was open. An extra 40 minutes in Guadalest would have allowed us to see everything we wanted to and would have meant that we weren’t hanging around for almost an hour in a cafe at the Falls having already eaten. I can understand how during the summer season perhaps two hours at the falls may have been needed by some but timings could be adapted depending upon the season and shouldn’t anyway be at the detriment of the visit to Guadalest. Other than this all other aspects of the visit were well organised and the guide and driver were very pleasant.

Disappointed but to do again - I am disappointed because at first, the staff does not speak French and then I do not speak very well in English. Well, I'm on my own. Secondly, I could not make this excursion because mistake on the pickup. It is impossible to explain this to the claimant so that we can understand each other. I hope I can do it someday.

Don’t dare to ask a question! - Lovely trip, beautiful locations and well organised by the guide Lisa. My disappointment was the time on the coach from Albir being first on and last off. 2 hours of the trip were pick ups and drop offs in Benidorm. I asked if this is the same route for all trips and was told yes but depending on how many bookings, there might be less stops so to enquire before my next trip to Alicante being in 2 days time. I emailed as the office was showing as closed and got a really unpleasant response from Lee who basically told me not to book trips with them and numbers are irrelevant. He then cancelled my trip and rang my hotel and told them to give me a refund. I had enquired politely and his response really upset me. The hotel asked me what the problem was as he had rang them. I can see from others that responses are the same. I had put two really positive reviews on last year but clearly won’t be putting any reviews on going forward. Thank you to the knowledgeable guides I have had on all 3 trips. I hope you receive more respect from your colleague than I did from asking a question.

Avoid Round Town Travel Agency and Viator won’t be able to help you! - Absolute worst tour company. Avoid at all cost and go with another agency to book your travel tours. They will confirm a location and time of a meeting place and fail to mention that they will leave you unless you arrive 10 to 15 mins prior. If you are on time, to them that is late and they will leave immediately and without even showing the courtesy of waiting 30 seconds!! They don’t call or even make an attempt to contact you. They will disappear and take your money. Also, when you call them back, their defense is “we took a picture of the meeting place and you were a no show.” Really? You take one pic of a lousy section of the meeting place before the time provided and claim you and others were there? Where is their photo?? Read their reviews carefully and you will notice that this company has a reputation of providing the worst meeting time and instructions and just leaving you before you arrive on time. Why not mention to be there earlier?? Zero customer service and zero courtesy! Trust me. Save yourself the headache and frustration and go with a different travel tour agency.
