Discover the beauty of Lake Tahoe with a local guide who will lead you on a scenic 2-mile hike to a stunning overlook of Emerald Bay and the entire Lake Tahoe basin. For added confidence, explore over 200 positive reviews on Airbnb experiences! With 25 years of local experience, the guide has explored numerous trails and much of the shoreline around Tahoe, and this vantage point is a personal favorite. An intermediate-level hike is also offered, and efforts will be made to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges or different abilities.
The adventure starts with a paved walk along a campground road, transitioning to a dirt trail with a gentle incline for about ¼ mile until reaching the lookout point. If visiting Tahoe in winter, expect the trail to be snow-covered, requiring snow boots or hiking boots. A sled can be provided to assist with towing children. Please note that the hike may be weather-dependent due to heavy snowfall.
