- Hidden Valley - The Hidden Valley Nature Trail is our main hiking destination for the tour and, in our opinion, is the most scenic nature hike in Joshua Tree National Park. We will be hiking the easy to moderate 1 mile loop which takes about 45 minutes to complete. The granite rock formations and desert nature is surreal and aw inspiring. You’ll want to bring your camera and take lots of pictures as we walk along the breath-taking beauty of Hidden Valley.
- Keys View - Keys View is one of the four highest peaks in Joshua Tree National Park and you can see stunning views of the Coachella Valley and Transverse mountain ranges which lead into the Salton Sea and Palm Springs. On most days you can see the north edge of the Salton Sea.
- Cap Rock Trail - Cap Rock Nature Trail is a quick and easy .03 mile loop which only takes 15 minutes but is well worth the short hike. You will get a glimpse of the beauty of Joshua Tree National Park and the the desert nature that surrounds the area as you walk the Cap Rock Trail.

Joshua Tree tour - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review for Spencer — Joshua Tree National Park Tour
Our family tour with Spencer to Joshua Tree National Park was absolutely outstanding.
From start to finish, Spencer made the entire experience memorable, engaging, and completely stress-free. His knowledge of the park’s geology, wildlife, and history added so much depth to the trip, and he shared it all in a way that felt natural and genuinely passionate.
Spencer struck the perfect balance between guiding and giving space to explore. He always knew the best viewpoints, hidden gems, and photo spots. . His enthusiasm for the desert landscape was contagious, and it made the experience even more meaningful.
Beyond his expertise, Spencer was friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. He made sure everyone felt comfortable, safe, and included throughout the day. It truly felt like exploring Joshua Tree with a knowledgeable friend.

Super happy - Better than expected. Super happy we decided to do a tour and Spencer was a fabulous guide. Self guided we would have gotten 20 percent of what we learned by hiring a guided tour.

The only way to see Joshua Tree - A must tour if you’re new to Joshua Tree. Frank was great, very friendly and calm. We were 30 min late due to our mistake and he was nice enough to extend our tour so that we wouldn’t miss anything. The sites and the hike were so beautiful and it was interesting to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. He adjusted our hikes to suit our needs which made the tour more personal. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you Frank!

Beautiful Hikes and Knowledgeable Guide - I have wanted to visit Joshua Tree for quite some time and it did not disappoint. I was in Palm Desert for a conference and took advance of this sightseeing tour to spend an extra day to see this national park. Our guide Spencer make it so easy with the pick up and drop off at the hotel, and was communicative and reminded us what we needed to prepare for what was a hot day. We appreciated his obvious knowledge and passion for Joshua Tree. Spencer shared the history, described the various plant life and in general provided an excellent understanding of Joshua Tree and the surrounding areas. Others outside our group stopped to listen to his explanations and even ask him questions because he so clearly has the expertise. We were fortunate to see jack rabbits during one of our hikes. The tour is well worth the price and highly recommended!

Memorable Family Trip - Our private tour of Joshua Tree National Park was a fun and memorable experience for our family group of five adults ranging in age from 31 to 79—myself, my spouse, our son and daughter-in-law, and my sister. Our guide, Jim, was outstanding: friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the park and the Palm Springs area. Jim tailored the tour to our interests, set a comfortable pace, and suggested the best spots for photos—many of which he took for us.
We had a bit of an auspicious start to the tour: upon arriving at the Visitor’s Center, our phones alerted us to an earthquake detected in the area. We weren’t sure how the day—or the tour—was going to unfold, but fortunately, it was smooth sailing after that.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Joshua Tree with a knowledgeable and personable guide. It's an excellent way to experience the park’s unique flora and rock formations.
One note: the pre-tour guidance suggested dressing warmly, but in late April, we found the temperatures comparable to those in Palm Desert.
