Day 1- Cairo to Bahariya Oasis

Bahariya Oasis - At 6:00 am, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Giza or Cairo and driven to Bahariya Oasis, located approximately 350 km east of Cairo. This journey takes about 4 hours. Historically, when residents of Bahariya wanted to travel to the Nile Valley, they waited for a passing caravan, taking three days to journey between the Nile and the oasis. How fortunate we are today!

There will be two coffee breaks during the trip.

On the right-hand side, travelers will see the railways transporting iron ore deposits to the steel mill in Helwan. While not a tourist attraction, Bahariya Oasis is Egypt’s primary source of iron ore. The iron ore is found in the middle Eocene limestone and is located in four areas known as Managim.

At 10:00, guests will arrive at Bahariya Oasis and meet their safari guide, who will take them on an adventure in a 4x4 Jeep.

Black Desert - The journey continues to the Black Desert, named for the layer of black powder covering its mountains, highlands, and sand. This powder coats the peaks of some mountains.

White Desert - At 12:00, lunch will be served at El Haize Oasis, located 37 km from Bawiti. Some consider this a separate oasis. During Roman times, the area was prosperous, and many current families have Libyan origins. Before lunch, guests can relax in a hot water spring, which quickly alleviates stress. The heat naturally relaxes tense muscles, promoting feelings of calm, well-being, and tranquility.

Valley of Agabat - At 13:00, the journey continues to the Valley of Agabat.

At 14:00, guests will arrive at the Valley of Agabat, deep within the White Desert. The extraordinary beauty of the place must be experienced firsthand. Millions of years ago, the area was underwater. Over time, unique rock formations of limestone, chalk, and possibly sand developed.

White Desert - At 17:30, tents will be set up to enjoy the sunset.

At 18:30, as the sky turns pink and a deep fiery orange, the rock shapes fade, and silence envelops the area. Sitting around a small fire and enjoying a simple meal of chicken, rice, and vegetables, guests will find the food exceptionally delicious. Bedouin staff will arrange dinner and desert camping. (Vegetarian options are available.)

Note: At night, temperatures can drop suddenly in the White Desert, so a proper jacket is necessary for a comfortable night. However, all camping equipment, including sleeping bags, tents, and mattresses, is provided.

Day 2- White Desert - Bahariya Oasis

Bahariya Oasis - At 7:00 am, guests will enjoy breakfast in the desert before driving back to Bahariya Oasis.

At 9:00, on the return journey, there will be a visit to Crystal Mountain, locally known as Gebel al-Izzaz. This crystal hill, often referred to as the Jewel of the Desert, is formed by quartzite crystals and looks stunning in the sunlight. This natural feature was discovered by accident a few decades ago.
