Knowledgeable, kind and exceptional — the perfect Cairo guide and perfect Cairo tour! - I had an amazing time with Bibo in Cairo, who I met through another tour guide that I had encountered in luxor. From the beginning, Bibo was warm, professional and incredibly easy to communicate with. He coordinated my airport pick-up smoothly despite unpredictable EgyptAir timings (!!), helped me navigate Cairo logistics, and made everything feel calm and well organised. I really appreciated that he was right there the moment I landed in Cairo's chaotic airport. He was also very patient with me despite my travel exhaustion and alarm-related chaos, which I appreciated enormously. As a solo female traveller, I also really appreciated how comfortable and safe Bibo made me feel. I know Cairo can sometimes have a difficult reputation among travellers, but because of Bibo, I left with only the best impression of the city. He showed me a Cairo that was fascinating, warm, layered and full of history. Although we were mainly doing Coptic Cairo, Bibo knew so many amazing things about Cairo and Egypt more broadly. Once he realised that my previous Cairo experience had been disappointing, he very kindly sat down with me and gave me a brilliant supplementary introduction to Egyptian history — including the pyramids, the sale and movement of Egyptian artefacts, and other fascinating parts of Egypt’s past. He also introduced me to amazing bread from Cairo's most famous synagogue and taught me so much about Egyptian Jews, a rare and often overlooked part of the country’s history. It was generous, thoughtful and exactly the sort of thing that makes a guide truly exceptional. As a guide, Bibo is excellent. He is deeply knowledgeable without being dry, friendly without being intrusive, and very generous in the way he shares the history and culture of the city. I learnt so much from him in a short time, and he made Cairo feel vivid, layered and alive. I also discovered afterwards through the son of a good Egyptian friend that he regularly guides AUC Egyptology students (AUC being Egypt's literal best university!), which did not surprise me at all — he clearly knows his subject deeply and is trusted by people and universities who take Egyptian history seriously. Most importantly, Bibo is a genuinely kind and lovely person. I felt very lucky to have met him, and I left Cairo feeling that I had not only seen the city, but properly understood more of it because of him. Thank you, Bibo, for such a wonderful time in Cairo. Awesome!! - Our tour thru Old Cairo was amazing!! There were 4 of us in the group and our guide, Rana, was awesome. So was the driver (sorry I don’t remember his name). One in our party had some limitations walking but Rana was able to get a wheelchair in the museum and golf cart at the Citadel to help him get about with the rest of us so he didn’t miss a thing. Her patience was much appreciated and knowledge of the sites was spot on. Then at the Khalili market she had time with us to do some shopping. It was so fun. She really made the day happen for us.

Your English is impeccable. As a woman traveling alone with my kids you made me feel very comfortable in your presence. Really appreciated how sociable but still discreet you were.
