Majestic Monument of Salah El Din Citadel - Salah El Din Citadel is a must visit at Cairo. This historic fortress dominates the skyline of Cairo.The views of Cairo from the ramparts of the Fortress is superb. The Mosque of Muhammad Ali is a top attraction inside with its beautiful Dome, chandilliers and interior work. Our visit to the citadel was organised through Halino Travels .We had a superb experience as the tour guide Nancy gave us excellent narration of the history of the Citadel. Mr Mohammad Shamir Manager of Halino Travels coordinated our visit.
The architechture is mainly of Ottoman empire legacy. Ideal time to visit is early morning as later the number of visitors increases. One need to put Plastic shoe covers provided free while entering the Mosque .
