Tour of Siwa - This tour was amazing! The guide was super fun and knowledgeable about the place called Siwa, took us to fascinating places and told us stories of each of them. The food is very good, and with the company of Moha and Mostafa it was great. I laughed a lot and met new people. I recommend it 100%! It was an unforgettable experience and I am already planning to come back.

Incredible Experience - Excellent experience, would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Amn, Alaa and Mo were very friendly! The tours were amazing, and the Safari boy is an excellent driver and helped us to see the desert foxes better! The team at Panta Lodge was very friendly. THANK YOU ALL FOR EVERYTHING!

Not as good as we were expecting - The good: Our driver Sherif was very nice and despite very limited English, did his best to make us feel as comfortable as possible on the trip. We wanted to combine Alexandria with Siwa and this company was great in facilitating this for us. There are some great historical sites in Siwa and the salt lakes are beautiful. The not so good: I would never discourage anyone from visiting places, this is simply to prepare future travellers for the reality of this experience... It was roughly 18 hours of driving there and back from Cairo. The sites in Siwa are ok but in hindsight, not worth 18 hours of driving to see. We finished all the sites in 2 hours so spending anymore than a day there I think is not a good use of time. The car was small with limited leg room and an older aircon system. For such a long time on the road (and roads not in good condition) this was a surprise to us. One of the seat belts didn't work which may not be of concern to some (seatbelts are optional in Egypt) but for a lot of westerners, driving at high speed down desert roads may be a concern. The "eco" lodge was very basic and had a lot of litter around the front and sides of the building. There was no air conditioning, no wifi, no fans and at one stage, no power. We had to ask for a fan and as soon as we left the room the next morning they removed it, so be sure to ask for this on arrival. Communication from the company needs to be improved. We arrived in Siwa at 6pm where we were taken to a small local restaurant to have "lunch". I was then told that dinner was at 10pm. We aren't big eaters so not eating until 6pm was fine for us but I had to be quite forceful when declining dinner less than 4 hours later. We also departed for Alexandria from Cairo at 5am to arrive at 7.30am, however the sites we wanted to see didn't open until 9am. We could have left later but received no advice regarding this. I was told that entry to sites would be included but that was only for Siwa. We had to pay for our entry fees in Alexandria. Not a big deal as they are not expensive - just would have been nice to know in advance. The cost you pay also includes accommodation and meals for your driver. I don't disagree with this, but good for future travellers to know in advance what they are paying for.
