Giza Pyramids/Saqqara/Dahshour
Giza Necropolis - After enjoying breakfast, your private guide will pick you up from your hotel for a visit to the world-renowned Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. You’ll also witness the majestic Sphinx, with its pharaoh’s head and lion’s body, and visit the Valley Temple.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Next, travel south to explore the remnants of the city around Dahshur and Saqqara villages, including an open-air museum with carvings and columns. Here, you’ll find a massive fallen statue of Ramses II.
Pyramids of Dahshour - Dahshur is a notable royal necropolis in Egypt, home to the famous Red and Bent Pyramids of King Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid, named for its construction flaw, was followed by the Red Pyramid, which turns red after rainfall.
The Egyptian Museum/Islamic & Coptic Cairo
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After breakfast, your knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will take you to the Egyptian Museum, which houses artifacts from the Pharaonic period, including the stunning Tutankhamun collection.
Islamic Cairo - Visit the Salah El Din Citadel, a medieval Islamic fort, and the Mohamed Ali Mosque, known for its twin minarets. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Khan El Khalili Bazaar.
Coptic Cairo - Continue to Old Cairo to visit the Church of Abu Sergah and St. Barbara, known as the Staircase Church. See the Abu Sirga Church, believed to be where the Holy Family rested, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.
Aswan Sightseeing: High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk, and Philae Temple
Aswan High Dam - After breakfast and hotel check-out, you’ll be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the High Dam, an engineering marvel built in 1960 to protect Egypt from Nile floods.
Unfinished Obelisk - Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, showcasing ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques. It is believed to belong to Queen Hatshepsut of the 18th Dynasty.
Temple of Philae - Explore the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. After your tours, you’ll be transferred to your Nile Cruise for check-in and a relaxing lunch.
Day 5: Optional Day to Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - At approximately 4:30 AM, after collecting your breakfast box, your guide will take you to Abu Simbel. The two magnificent temples, known for their unique style, are masterpieces of ancient Egypt. The great Abu Simbel temple, also called The Sun Temple of Ramesses II, and the Temple of Queen Nefertari, also known as the Temple of Hathor, symbolize the unity of Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God. After this incredible tour, return to your Nile Cruise for lunch and sail to Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples
Temple of Kom Ombo - Visit the Kom Ombo Temple, shared by the gods Sobek and Horus. Sobek, the Crocodile God, represents the Nile, while Horus is the God of Sky and Kingship.
Temple of Horus - Sail to Edfu to visit the Horus Temple, an ancient Egyptian temple with scenes and inscriptions of the Sacred Drama related to the conflict between Horus and Seth. After your tours, continue sailing to Luxor.
Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and Colossi of Memnon
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast on board, check out and disembark your Nile Cruise. Accompanied by your experienced Egyptologist guide, visit the West Bank’s impressive Valley of the Kings, home to 63 tombs, including the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun. Guides are not allowed inside the tombs but will provide explanations beforehand.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Visit the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as Deir el Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut, meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies, is credited with initiating the first trading routes.
Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are enormous twin statues made from quartzite sandstone, believed to guard the entrance to Amenhotep’s Memorial Temple. It’s a perfect spot for taking stunning photos.
Karnak/Luxor Temples & Hurghada
Temple of Karnak - Explore the magical Karnak Temples, one of the largest temple complexes in the world. Visit the Sacred Lake and the huge Scarab Statue, where wishes are said to come true. The Karnak Temples were dedicated to the God Amon and his wife Mut.
Luxor Temple - Continue to Luxor Temple, which reflects Pharaonic, Coptic, and Islamic civilizations. Built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty BC and completed by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty BC, King Ramses II was a prominent ruler of Pharaonic times.
Hurghada Marina - After this fantastic tour, you’ll be transferred to Hurghada.
