Excellent guide and driver for a great tour of Luxor - Our guide, Abdelhameed Yosry, and our driver, Amr, worked to provide a full day of comfortable activity for us. Our guide was very friendly, confident, knowledgeable and clearly eager to help us enjoy our tour. We were led through the crowds and situated where we needed to be to have the best experiences. Amr was a great driver in the challenging traffic. He was courteous and thoughtful -- opening doors, slowing down, opening widows for picture taking and providing a snack late in the day. We recommend these men and this tour.

Nice tours, it's a... - Nice tours, is an excellent tour operator, excellent communication, excellent logistics. Our guide was perhaps not the best, but compensates for the excellent organization of the tour operator.

Mahmoud haggag - Day trip from Cairo was excellent. Too much to see in Luxor for only one day. Our egyptologist and guide, Mahmoud, was amazing. He allowed us to tour at our own pace. He gave us highlights and answer questions. Then allowed us to roam around the sites. He is very knowledgable. What an adventure. We had a great time.

You probably won't get to Luxor. I think this company is a scam. - I booked this months in advance. 36 hours before we were to leave, the company cancelled our trip because they couldn't find plane tix cheap enough. I will likely never see Luxor because of this company.

VERY Misleading & Disappointing!!! - This tour was extremely disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable in many ways. The vehicle provided was absolutely disgusting and smelled very badly. It was difficult to sit in and even harder to feel safe in. Several seat belts were not working, including the driver’s seat belt. There was no air conditioning at all, which made the long drive unbearable. To make matters worse, the driver did not speak any English, so communication was impossible, and he was constantly on his phone texting and calling while driving. Our tour guide, Mo, was the only positive aspect. He was polite, professional, and did his best. However, the tour itself was very misleading. It was advertised as a private tour, but it was not private at all—we were grouped with other people, 12 of us in total. At several major sites, including Luxor Temple, we received little to no explanation or guidance during the visit. I made this reservation about six months in advance and paid weeks ahead of time. Despite this, the tour agency did not purchase our plane tickets until just two days before departure, when availability was extremely limited. As a result, we were picked up at 3:00 am to get to the airport and didn’t return home until 1:00 am the following day, making for an exhausting and unnecessary ordeal. We were also promised a 3 star hotel to relax in before our departure, but what we received was nothing more than a dirty, disgusting motel. It was completely unacceptable and far from what was advertised. While lunch was included, it didn’t even come with basic drinking water, which is unacceptable given the heat and length of the tour. To top it all off, at the end of the tour our driver was over 20 minutes late, nearly causing us to miss our flight. We truly loved seeing the beautiful temples and historical sites, but this entire tour—especially the Luxor visit—completely soiled the experience. I would not recommend this tour or company to anyone.

Luxor day trip from Cairo - SCAM - DO NOT USE!!!! This is a SCAM! January 2026 ! Do not use! am very disappointed with the recent actions of the travel agency known as “Nice Tours,” with an address at 1 Kornish Al Nile, Luxor City, Luxor, Luxor Governorate 85951, Egypt. The website “ nicetours.net” and the phone number” +20 12 81998472”. After agreeing to a guided tour of Luxor’s attractions from Cairo for a fixed price of $500USD.(Please see the picture attached.) The company reached out to me requesting an extra $150 USD because the airline had canceled the flights and they needed to rebook. I asked for proof, any type of documents showing the cancellation of flight but the travel agency didn't provide with any documents. To make things worst, the travel agency didn't answer the phone, or any of the questions I asked. The company never provided any documents proving the flight cancelation. I checked the official website if Cairo’s airport and I didn't see any cancelation. After review the airlines and the official Cairo’s airport website. I tried to contacted “Nice Tours” and they kept giving me the run-around. I booked this through a third party company known as “get your guide”, apparently I am going to get my money back. I've traveled to more than 30 countries and thus travel agency is the worst experience I had. They are clearly trying to get more money out of people and abusing of the tourist. Most people already have plans scheduled and they are too scared to ask question back and they are just going to agree to pay the extra $150 This behavior is un acceptable, and is the reason why Egypt has bad reputation.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) – Misleading “Private Tour,” Cash Demands, Safety Issues, and Poor Guiding - ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) – Misleading “Private Tour,” Cash Demands, Safety Issues, and Poor Guiding We booked a tour titled “Cairo Private Luxor Full-Day Tour with Guide and Flights” through Nice Tours via TripAdvisor/Viator for 30 Dec 2025, at a cost of $1,800. Unfortunately, this experience was deeply disappointing and did not match what was advertised. First and most significant issue: this was not a private tour. Upon arrival in Luxor, the guide immediately left us with the driver and stated he needed to collect three other parties from the same flight. When I questioned this, he said that four separate parties who each paid for a private tour were combined into one group tour. That alone felt misleading. Additionally, three of the four parties did not even have a guide present during transport. Second issue: aggressive and undocumented cash requests. Almost immediately, the guide asked me for €270 in cash for “extra stops,” in addition to $250 for standard entrance tickets that were already listed in the itinerary. He did not have a credit card machine He provided no invoice or receipts He looked into my wallet and said any currency would do He even brought me to a shop and suggested I take a cash advance on my credit card, which I refused This felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. Guide quality and communication were very poor. The guide appeared inexperienced, frequently agitated, and was difficult to understand due to very broken English. There were many instances where the group could not understand basic explanations. For example, he repeatedly referred to something he called the “Valley of the Dead,” but could not pronounce “dead” clearly enough for anyone to understand, then skipped our questions entirely. We later realized what he meant only after hearing another guide explain it properly. He was also constantly frustrated with guests taking photos, repeatedly telling us this was “not an Instagram tour,” insisting we rush through sites, speak first, and only allow 10–15 minutes total for photos, which is unrealistic for a family and older guests. Serious organization and safety failures occurred: At one site, the guide left the group entirely. Guests were stopped by Egyptian security and asked for entrance tickets that we were never given, leaving us to deal with guards who did not speak English. When questioned later, the guide became defensive and said, “They have my WhatsApp if they need me,” which was untrue—an older couple in the group did not even have his number. During lunch, the vehicle transporting my family of six left us for the day. We were forced to squeeze into other vehicles, with my family split into four different cars, some people riding on laps without seatbelts. The tour guide personally had to flag down a driver from another tour to transport myself and himself to the next stop. In summary: We paid for a private tour and were placed on a group tour We were pressured for large amounts of undocumented cash Vehicles and logistics were unsafe and disorganized The guide was frequently angry, rushed us constantly, and was difficult to understand My family was separated multiple times during the day This was stressful, unsafe, and felt misleading from start to finish. I would not recommend this tour or operator, especially for families or anyone expecting the private experience advertised.

Wasted thousand of dollars and my time - Booked and payed for this Luxor tour 1 month in advance due to good reviews. Travelled all the way from Texas to Cairo to visit Luxor and the day before (yes the day before) they cancelled on me - they tried to get me to reschedule for 4 days later but the date was outside of my vacation window. You had a month to book this, arrange this, to cancel and get me to rebook, but the day before? Wow. Left me without options. Absolutely gutted, vacation was ruined as I couldn’t visit Luxor, travelled all the way to Egypt for nothing. Luckily got to see the pyramids and Alexandria, but that wasn’t my only goal for the trip. They said they couldn’t get flights in time - but I paid 1 month in advance, sounds like they waited last minute and it didn’t pan out for them and therefore thousands of my dollars and time were wasted. I got a refund for what I paid for the tour (only fair as they didn’t deliver a tour) at least. Hope this waste doesn’t happen to you
