- Nilometer - Sun Pyramids Tours’ guide will collect guests from their hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
The first stop is the Nilometer, located at the southern end of Roda Island. This ancient structure, dating back to the period following the Arab conquest of Egypt, played a crucial role in measuring the Nile’s water levels, which was directly linked to the taxation of agricultural lands. Taxes were imposed only when the Nile’s waters reached a specific level, ensuring the land was irrigated during the flood season.
- Manial Palace Museum - Next, the tour proceeds to the stunning Manial Palace of Prince Mohamed Ali Pasha, who was King Farouk’s uncle. The palace showcases a blend of European Art Nouveau and Rococo styles with traditional Islamic architecture, including Ottoman, Moorish, and Persian influences, resulting in a unique combination of spatial design, architecture, and interior decoration. The palace complex, consisting of five distinct buildings, is surrounded by gardens filled with rare tropical plants collected by the prince during his travels along a small branch of the Nile.
- City of the Dead (Northern Cemetery) - The tour continues to the City of the Dead, or Cairo cemetery, a vast area of tombs and mausoleums, some dating back to the Islamic Conquest of Egypt in 642 AD. Due to the country’s ongoing housing crisis, many people have made this area their permanent home. It is fascinating to visit and observe the lifestyle of the residents.

Felucca - Finally, guests will head to the river to board a felucca, a traditional sailboat used on the Nile and other Mediterranean regions. While sailing along the river, lunch will be served on board. After the trip, guests will be transported back to their hotel.
