- Sharia Al Mu’izz Li-Din Allah - This walking tour guides visitors through the Islamic quarter of Cairo. After being picked up from the hotel, guests will be driven through Cairo’s streets to the start of Al Muizz Street. Entering through one of its main gates, Bab El Fotouh, participants will stroll through this open-air museum, which stretches approximately one kilometer. The tour features numerous monuments, including mosques, sabeels (water stations for passersby), and kuttabs, the traditional schools of that era. Visitors will also see traditional baths and the historic Islamic gates of old Cairo, such as Bab El Fotouh, Bab El Nasr, and Bab Zeweila. The tour concludes at Khan El Khalili Bazaar, located in the alleyways branching from Al Muizz Street.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Khan El Khalili is one of the oldest markets in Egypt. Visitors can cross the street to explore the other section of Al Muizz Street and visit Al Azhar Mosque, one of the most significant Islamic mosques worldwide. The tour continues to Ghoria, where guests will see the Bab Zewiela gate and, nearby, the Khaimia or tent maker bazaar.

Highly recommend Tarek! - We had an amazing experience touring Khan El Khalili and taking a day trip to Alexandria with Tarek as our guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and he brought both destinations to life with fascinating history and local insight. At Khan El Khalili, he guided us through areas we never would have found on our own and made the experience feel relaxed and authentic, never rushed. The Alexandria day trip was perfectly organized, with a smooth drive, great pacing despite some unforeseen set backs and thoughtful attention to our comfort throughout the day. We would highly recommend Tarek to anyone visiting Egypt.

Best tour guide in Egypt - Amazing experience. Our guide Tarek was excellent, extremely knowledgeable, very patient, always smiling and very considerate. A wonderful tour with Zizou - Zizou was a fantastic guide for us through Khan El Kelili market and Islamic Cairo. We booked this private tour a day in advance just after arriving in Cairo. We jumped on another tour the day before and afterwards realised that there might be a lot of overlap with this tour. Zizou was very accommodating and flexible and helped us dig in deeper into Khan El Kelili market which was the perfect outcome for us. He helped us find great places to buy particularly items we wanted (rugs, lamps etc), enabled us to find some beautiful areas of the market we had seen in our research and combined it all with great knowledge of the development of Islamic history within the area. Zizou is a very smart, intelligent guide, with deep knowledge of Egyptian history including a Masters degree in Egyptology. We enjoyed his company and loved getting to know him more while enjoying the best falafel (ta’ameya) we’d ever eaten at the end of the tour. We would highly recommend him for any kind of tour in the area.

Great tour with Hazeem - My morning with Hazeem in Old Cairo was very educational and fun. I'm a solo traveler, so we got to share lots of conversations on topics of my choice. He is highly highly educated on history and Islamic culture. The gentleman who served as our driver was also wonderful and navigated the chaos of Cairo in a modern passenger van with ease. I'd book with them again any time.

Great - We had a great walking tour of Islamic Cairo with our guide, Hazem. He was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights into the city’s history and culture. The tour gave us a much deeper appreciation of Cairo’s rich heritage. Overall it was a good experience and worth it if you want to learn more about the history of Cairo.

Good guide with knowledge - Good guide and guided well through the old Cairo and Khan e kalili market, I have enjoyed koshary food at 1919 Hotel, also purchase and Hookah which was good bargaining experience
