The Giza pyramids complex is Egypt’s most awe-inspiring monument and one of the world’s wonders. The site features several structures, with the most famous being the three iconic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, built as grand tombs for the 4th dynasty kings.
The Great Pyramid of Pharaoh Khufu (2609 BC - 2584 BC) is the tallest archaeological wonder on earth, standing at 138.5 meters (454.4 ft) since its construction in 2570 BC. It was built using 2.6 million limestone blocks, weighing a total of 6 million tons, and is aligned with the four cardinal points of the compass, featuring a remarkable interior, including the King’s chamber.
Great Sphinx - The Sphinx, a colossal 4000-year-old limestone sculpture created by King Khafre (2558–2532 BC), measures 73 m in length and 20 m in height. It is a remarkable relic of ancient Egypt, with a man’s head and a lion’s body, symbolizing power and wisdom as the spiritual guardian of the site.

The large temple of the king includes a hypostyle hall with eight massive pillars depicting Ramses II as the god of the Underworld, while the smaller temple is dedicated to his wife, Queen Nefertari. The walls depict the epic Battle of Kadesh, leading to the first documented peace treaty in 1274 BC.
