Busy day in Cairo - Shady was amazing. My partner and I only had two days to spend in Cairo and he made the final day very memorable and informative. He showed us authentic places where to eat, honesty about where to shop, and introduced us to lots of culture. Very grateful for him.

Egyptologist in training - My guide Simon was literally a walking ChatGPT….super smart…at the museum she helped me understand hieroglyphics, how to understand what different markings meant on statues…and had a wealth of knowledge about everything! She even waited way past the meeting time when I was going to be late! Thank you so much Simon! I had a blast! ❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Great day with Simon at Egyptian Civilization Museum - Simon was fantastic. She was both responsive and communicative about information leading up to the tour. While on tour, I immediately noticed that she was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Egytrain history and the information provided once she began speaking. I was particularly fascinated as she went in depth speaking about the cartouche, what it means , and the importance of it especially in the days of Egyptian Kings and Queens. I took my tour October 17, 2025 which was a fairly decent time to visit the museum, even though it was still plenty of people and tour groups. Simone even offered to assist in finding a keep sake of a patch of the Egyptian flag. Great tour with Simon, a friendly, well versed person.

Not worth it - Before I go into explaining my experience I want to state that I think my experience has more to do with our guide than the company, I have read amazing reviews about the company. We werent necessarily please with our tour, that was probably just because of how our guide Ehab handled the tour. I read very similar experiences to ours and saw his name several times. I have no bad things to say about the company. Firstly, we didnt receive the promised water we paid for in our package. Secondly, the IDEA of the tour was nice, but in reality we where higly disapppinted by the ways of our guide Ehab. We felt extemely rushed through the museum. Ehab spoke hastily leaving barely to no room for questions. He just continued his speech which didnt feel like an explanation nut more like he was trying to read out a memorised text as fast as possible. Also, he repeatedly continued his sentences even when not facing us making his stories even less understandable. My wife and I had difficulty keeping up with the rushed walking pace of Ehab. We are not people with high standards or expectations but since we were continuously asjed to write a review, we might aswell write an honest one. Especially after we read other negative reviews, of which, interestingly enough many were about Ehab.We have had several other tours in egypt and this felt like an EXTREME waste of time and money, we should have gone with a differtent guide or even alone. Because we just rushed through the museum, compehending only 20% of the explanations. We haven't had any issues understanding people in Egypt when they speak english, this was a case of a lack of communication skills or not caring, perhaps both. I dont know. Thirdly, we didnt see the Khan al Kahlil. Without us competely understanding what he meant at th3 time, in hindsight Ehab explained we wouldnt go to the Khan el Khalil because "everything there is chinese and inauthentic". Instead he wanted to bring us to 4 specific shops 30 minutes away from the Khan El Khalil Bazar. A spice shop, a perfume/oil shop, a cotton shop and a papyrus shop but because we told Ehab we already had an explabation about papyrus he suggested to skip that. The problem is that Ehab was very fast speaking, very unclear and didnt ask us but TOLD us what was going to happ3nz eventhough we obviously paid for the Khan El Khalil aswell. When entering the first (perfume) shop it was obvious that he was just introducing us to some specific shop owners who he knows in order for us to buy stuff there. Luckily the lady who welcomed us was quite friendly and understanding and after I told her that we never planned to go to her shop and that in fact we had already bought perfume/oils somewhere else before and that we expected to go to the Khan El Khalil we kindly said our goodbyes. We requested to go back to the hotel instead of going to the next 2 shops as typical tourist brought in by Ehab to by stuff. We didnt feel like sitting in 3 shops that Ehab picked out instead of walking around Khan El Khalil. We told Ehab that since he told us Khan El Khalil was not worth a visit we might aswell go straight back to the hotel. Im hindsight i heard from somebody that there are still some authenthic shops in/around Khan El Khalil, but I haven't been there so I don't know.
