Outstanding Tour for 4 Montana Friends - Tour was outstanding and great value for all the services provided. Tour company Book to Egypt handles everything from the moment you step off the plane in Cairo Ali was there to help us get our Visa and transit to our Cairo hotel. The next day our week long adventure started with personal service that picked up our group of four Americans from Montana and drove us to all the sights. Everyone was so friendly. The van drivers were great at maneuvering the crazy Cairo traffic and we always got dropped off right in front of the tour sight. Tour guides were local experts and very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Tour company handled all the arrangements from hotel reservations, flights to Luxor and Aswan for Nile River cruise, 3 night Nile River Cruise, tour guides and entry fees. They even provided some additional bonus tours. They were there to help us with any questions we had. This is a one stop service that allowed our group enjoy Egypt. Our main contact, Ali, also helped us when we missed a flight and provided valuable advise on Egypt. Definitely would recommend this tour if you want an Egyptian Adventure where everything is handled and all you need to do is enjoy exploring and learning about Egypt!

Great experience - We had an excellent time in Egypt, from Cairo to Aswan and Luxor. Mr.Ali organized everything and was always reachable. We got to see everything we wanted to see. All the guides and drivers were very good and knowledgable about history and civilization. In Giza our Guide was Merma and in Aswan our guide was Emad. Both were amazing.

Amazing Egypt visit.. - This company is highly recommended, everything was in order and the manager Ali is always on top of everything with good communication of making follow up and making sure everything went well. We had Hannan as our tour guide in giza and was very knowledgeable with everything. And we had Amal in Luxor who was also a great tourguide and knowledgable in egyptian history. The hotels that they put us in were also great places to stay and bery comfortable. Their guides and car services was always on time of schedule. Bucket list experience - We had an amazing time in our tour with Ali and his knowledgeable guides and drivers. It was my birthday trip and I really appreciated that Ali called me to address any concerns and answer all of my questions ahead of booking. He was also just a message away throughout the trip and checked in regularly to see how we were enjoying the trip and if anything needed to be addressed. All transitions were smooth and without issue. Our guides/egyptologists...Yassmen and Emad were fantastic and knowledgeable and just genuinely lovely people who cared about making our experience amazing. We also had incredible drivers like Ahmed who went above and beyond, even accompanying us into a market. Thanks to Ali for coordinating this. The sites were incredible and I will carry those memories with me for a lifetime. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and go to a beach town. I highly recommend Ali and Book to Egypt to anyone looking to visit this lively history-rich country.

Amazing trip - luxury in Luxor - Fantastic trip. The tour operator, Ali, takes care of all the details. Everything from transport (taxis, vans and in-country flights), to English speaking guides to attraction tickets to lodging (hotels and cabins on cruise) is taken care of. Most of your meals are also covered. Hotels were top tier and cruise cabins were very spacious and upscale. This was my first multi-day tour and first cruise. It was nice having the hassles of travel covered. The cruise ship was also small, maybe 65 or so guests. Good restaurant, pool and bars on board. The historical sites were amazing. This is Egypt, a country that I have wanted to come to for many years. Somewhere you read about in books. I felt completely safe the entire time. Country is safe in general, but they go the extra yard to insure the safety of tourists. The tour guide, Ali was available 24/7 via WhatsApp/ phone and very accommodating. I booked at the last minute (the day before), and he fit me in. He moved some of the standard days/ attractions around so I could start on the desired day. Side trips were also available such as Abu Simbel. Ali was also good at managing unforseen problems that happen in all travels. A road closure caused me to be late returning to the cruise from a side trip. He made the ship wait for me and the van prioritize my drop off. I highly recommend this trip and tour company.

Wonderful and stress free Egypt tour experience - Book to Egypt should be your go to if you are looking for well planned, comfortable experience in Egypt. Mr Ali is the kind and welcoming host who runs this company like a well oiled machine. From pick up at airport to drop off at airport the whole experience was great. A special thanks to our private guide Emad who accompanied us during cruise and walked us through every small detail of the Egyptian history. We went to Egypt during high season and crowds were on the higher size but tour was planned out well. Surely you had to wake up early to see many sites but that's part of this tour plan. Weather was nice during December. Price for the whole experience was reasonable. Pickups, dropoffs, entry tickets, domestic air tickets were arranged by Mr Ali and that took away all the hassle from us.

Great experience with private tour - This trip was well organized and I felt very safe as a solo traveler. The team was quick with responses and handled all the logistics so I only had to enjoy myself. The itinerary was well curated so I could see many things in a short period of time and I throughly enjoyed the experience.

Deluxe stay, not very luxury... - Experience is, in my opinion, paramount when you go on holiday on a small budget. So this time we decided to book this trip with all inclusive and Deluxe options (apparently each agency has its own definition of "Deluxe"). At the hotel we met the tour operator. He did the check-in for us and described and explained the stay in detail. Very quickly, we come across the theme of money. Tipping, ancillary activities for a fee, etc. We played along, we paid for the ancillary activities we had chosen in advance. Tips: As for tips, please note that the operator collects them directly and explains who redistributes them to each driver and to the staff of hotels and cruises (see paragraph of the cruise below), no tips are intended for guides planned! Small tip, make sure to withdraw enough cash in local currency (the exchange rate is very bad). Hotmail n°1 Radisson Blu*****: We are regulars of this hotel chain and yet we were very disappointed. The standard of cleanliness is not met, the bathrooms are very dirty, the carpet is dirty, the soundproofing is almost non-existent. Bed linen is not changed even when requesting room service. This hotel is old, dirty and poorly maintained. However, it is a 5-star hotel, it is ultimately only a facade, like the entrance of the establishment. Deluxe Cruise Ship: In short, the rooms are not well maintained, we repeatedly caught the room staff cleaning with the dirty towels we had used the day before. The rooms are very poorly soundproofed, so that we hear the other tourists as well as the incessant whirring of the engines, we slept very poorly throughout the trip on the Nile. We asked for a double bed, we had a room with 2 single beds. The terrace on the boat was very spacious, but we were constantly in smoke from the other boats in front of us. if you stay on the terrace, the smell of pollution will settle on your clothes and hair. About forty boats follow each other throughout the cruise. The general condition of the boat is old, it was like a cruise of the 70s. The staff was not pleasant, almost cursing. We were treated to the spectacle of the crew disposing of their garbage in the hold, at the back of the boats by simply dumping it in the Nile, already filthy and covered with a thick film of glittering oil... The staff did not understand why we were not integrated into a tourist group, we explained to them several times that we booked a private tour. When we left the boat, the receptionist (the onboard staff) did not want to let us do the check-out because he did not understand why we did not have the same program as the other groups. They wanted to make us pay an $80 tip for the crew, knowing that we had already given the tips requested in our turn operator, which earned us sermons from the receptionist who was very aggressive with us. Arrival (Day 1): Arrival at the airport went well, we found our representative directly within minutes of getting out of the plane. He helped us prepare the forms for the VISAS and accompanied us to the hotel. Direction Luxor (Day 2): We took the first flight to Luxor. We were impressed by the monstrous queue at the airport. But don't worry, the flights are always late. Arrival in Luxor (Day 2): Someone was waiting for us outside the airport to take us to the Nile cruise ship. We waited a long time before we could get in the boat. Once in the boat, our driver proceeded to check in. The staff on board seemed surprised at our reservation. We waited again about thirty minutes before being allocated a room. And when we received our room, it was not ready. So we waited again between 1 and 2 hours. Once finally settled, our tour operator announces that our next activity will start after lunch. After a few hours waiting (again), we are finally picked up to visit the temple of Karnak and the temple of Amun. Visit to the Temple of Karnak and Amun (Day 2): The guide was very friendly, we enjoyed it very much. They gave us a lot of explanations and gave us a good introduction to the customs and traditions of ancient Egypt. Luxor (Day 3): Our departure was scheduled for 06:30/07:00 towards the Valley of the Kings. We were awakened several times by the flight crew between 04:30 and 05:30 in the morning, which is very unpleasant. The day before we asked not to wake up. The driver finally picked us up at 07:30. The Valley of Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Temple of Amenhotep III: We found our guide from the day before, he showed us around and showed us almost every corner of the temples. The visit went very well and we enjoyed it very much. On the other hand we enjoyed much less our return to the boat we waited 2 hours on a parking before being able to board. Departure towards Edfu (Day 3): Following our visit, we returned our boat for dinner time, dinner which was late... During dinner our boat started sailing on the Nile towards Edfu, so we would spend the rest of the day and night sailing to our next destination. Arrival at Edfu, Temple of Horus: Our guide came (late) to pick us up on the boat, we left directly by carriage to the temple of Horus. Without much surprise, carriages and horses very poorly maintained, it makes the experience almost morbid. Horses are mistreated, the site is overcrowded and unscrupulous sellers are simply obnoxious. Do not accept anything from the sellers at the entrance. The temple itself is beautiful, but the experience is completely ruined by everything around it. Our guide did not teach us much.The tour lasted 1 hour and a half to break everything. We returned to the boat at the end of the tour to go towards Kom Ombo. Temple of Kom Ombo (Day 3): Arriving in Kom Ombo, our new guide came to pick us up to visit the temple of Sobek and Haroëris. Beyond the smoke cloud of cruise ships that will greet you, know that the crowd will spoil your discovery of this temple. Nearby the Crocodile Museum offers in a semi-dark spot crocodile mummies (visit without much interest) As everywhere in Egypt is unfortunately beset by small sellers of souvenirs. Arrival in Aswan (Day 4): We arrived in the early morning (about 05:00).We were awakened several times again, without asking anything. Once at 03:00, at 03:30, 04:15 and 04:30, our departure was scheduled for 05:30. Our guide was late again and we had a lot of trouble with the receptionist for check-out. Temple of Abu Simbel related activity (Day 4): After about 3 and a half hours drive, we arrive at the temple of Abu Simbel, where our representative awaits us, he entrusts us to a guide who gives us some explanations before letting us visit the site by ourselves. The latter is the most impressive we have been able to visit since our arrival in Egypt. After the visit, our representative and our guide did not return to pick us up. We were lost. After calling our tour operator our representative finally picked us up after 45 minutes. After that we set out for our last visit. Aswan Dam (Day 4): The visit to the dam consists only in crossing the road on its upper part, stopping at a parking lot in the middle of the dam. The view is pretty because you can see on one side Lake Nasser and on the other the Nile, but other than that there is not much to see. Temple of Philae (Day 4): We arrived by boat because the temple is on a small island, very beautiful but always crowded with tourists pushing each other. Return to Cairo (Day 4): We were dropped off at Aswan airport after our visits, no meals were included for the evening, so we decided to eat at the airport. When we arrived in Cairo, our driver took us back to Radisson Blu. Grand Egyptian Museum (Day 5): When we arrived at the ticket office, we were asked to buy our tickets online. The museum is very large. There are many things to see, having a guide is very convenient, because there are not many descriptions in the museum. It's a shame we had very little time alone in the museum. No breaks were arranged for lunch. Fortunately our guide offered to eat in a friendly place, she even offered us and the driver our meal. The Pyramids of Giza (Day 5): Impressive pyramids in a cloud of smog.

World-class temples and tombs coexisting with the environmental degradation of the River Nile. - Egypt’s historical sites are extraordinary. The pyramids, Grand Egyptian Museum, Valley of the Kings and Queens, Abu Simbel, Kom Ombo, Philae, Karnak, and Luxor temples are truly awe-inspiring. A highlight was afternoon tea at the Old Cataract Hotel, watching the sunset over the Nile. However, the Nile cruise itself was disappointing. Seven days on board felt too long, and the river is heavily polluted by diesel fumes from cruise boats. Long periods of docking and waiting at locks resulted in poor air quality, causing headaches, itchy eyes, and sore throats. When docked—especially in Aswan—there were often no views at all. Several temple and tomb sites were also poorly maintained, with visible rubbish and neglected surroundings, which detracted from the experience. Overall, a trip of incredible history and monuments, but marred by pollution, overcrowding, and lack of site upkeep.
