Nile Cruise with perfect guide - The Nile cruise was perfect. The food and the crew truly gave their very best. What made our cruise especially memorable, was our guide, Bebo. We were fortunate to have him with us for the whole four days of the cruise. From the very beginning, he shared his extensive knowledge about every place we visited. He explained the stories carved into the walls of the temples with great enthusiasm. Whenever we asked a question, he always had an answer. And if something was not immediately clear, he patiently explained it again in a different way until we fully understood. He was the guide we dreamed of having on our trip. Whenever you book something with Nice Tours, ask for him; you won’t regret it. Thank you, Bebo, for your time, your dedication, and your knowledge. You made our cruise truly marvellous and unforgettable. We hope you had a safe journey home to your family.

Egypt Tour recommends this product. - It is a good place to visit Egypt. Includes a plane hotel cruise tour. The guide also guides you well without waiting on time. Easily explains history and takes good photos. Luxor aswan cairo is a tour. Thank you especially Gerges Guide.

Luxor with Abanob - We spent the last day of our tour exploring Luxor with our guide Abanob. He was by far the most knowledgeable, efficient and thorough guide - with amazing English. Would 100% recommend this tour, everyone was amazing. Thank you Abanob for giving us an unforgettable last day in Egypt!

Fun and Chaotic Week in Egypt - This tour was probably the most chaotic tour we have ever booked. That said, everything worked out and feel that overall, it was a great value and not disappointed in what we got to see. I would recommend this trip to others, but it would come with some caveats. The tour company itinerary online while somewhat detailed, did left gaps in certain areas that I looked for additional answers for. Although I sent them several messages through the website, I never received a response. It wasn’t until I found their WhatsApp contact that I was finally able get in contact with someone and even then, we didn’t get very good responses to our questions, we were on the verge of cancelling the tour but decided to just go with it. One of the questions that I had that wasn’t fully answered until we were on the trip was if the hotels in Luxor and Cairo were covered as part of the trip and where we would be staying. Both are covered and apparently, they don’t book the rooms until the day before. We ended up in The Temple Hotel in Luxor and the Three Pyramids Boutique Hotel in Giza. Both hotels were nice. I do know there were some from our tour that stayed in other hotels and one group even stayed on the boat in Luxor. Once we got into the tour, the communication was much better with Happy Tours as they would provide an update the night before and provide details for the next day. There were several conflicts within the information they provided which was frustrating at times. It should be noted while this trip is listed as a “private” tour this was not the case for all of it. The first day in Cairo and the last day in Alexandria was a private tour, but the time in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Abu Simbel is all group tours of about 20-30 people. Day 1: Our tour guide in Cairo was very nice and knowledgeable, and it was overall a very good day. Our biggest disappointment was that we did not go to the Grand Egyptian Museum as advertised. We instead went to The National Museum Egyptian Civilization. While nice, we missed out on the King Tut artefacts which we were really looking forward to. Day 2: The Hot Air Ballons were FANTASTIC. We felt rushed through the Valley of the Kings but still got to see most everything. We did not have time to see any of the other tombs within the complex. We had about 30 minutes of free time at the other sites on the day. Day 3: These sites felt a little rushed as well, we had about a 30-minute intro into at each site and about 30 minutes to walk around ourselves. We felt we got to see everything, but it was rushed. Day 4: The day at Abu Simbel was nice, but the tour starts at 3:30 in the morning abord a large Coach bus to get there in time. This was nice so you could sleep for most of the trip there. After the trip to Abu Simbel, the guide told us that we could do an optional tour to the Nubian Village for lunch. We questioned if we would have time and how we would get our bags as we would have already checked out of the cruise ship. All we ever got in response was “don’t worry”. In reality, the cruise ship overnights in Aswan and the bags are held in storage after check-out. I can’t recommend the Nubian Village lunch as we paid $40 per person and all we did was have lunch, once lunch was over, we were rushed out and had no time to walk through the village. Day 5: This was a great private day trip to Alexandria. We never felt rushed on this trip and the information provided was great. The biggest time waste on this tour is that admission to the sites isn’t included in the tour, which means we had to wait in a ticket line to purchase tickets at every site. This wasn’t too bad for the private tours, but for the group tours we probably wasted 25% of the time just waiting for everyone to get tickets. Would have been better for the tour company to purchase the tickets in advance and not have to wait in line on an already limited timeframe. Overall, we really enjoyed our tour and got everything we wanted out of it. The communication could have been MUCH better, but everything worked out. Based on previous reviews, we had expected the chaos and went into the tour with the plan to just go with it.

Good experience to see Egypt, but need to be Proactive - We are just finishing the 5-Day tour of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and Alexandria. All-in-all, this was a great way to see many of the culturally important sites of Egypt and I would generally recommend this experience. That being said, we were proactive and kept in constant contact with Nice Tours via WhatsApp (I would HIGHLY recommend this). It made the experience smoother than what it would have been. We proactively contacted them before we left for Egypt to make sure they had all the information they needed which was good because they needed ID information to finish booking the cruise/flights. Also, we needed to contact them every night to provide us with the itinerary for the following day. We had two early days (leaving the cruise at 4 am), so be ready for this. Also, the early morning balloon ride was canceled due to weather and they said we will get a small refund. Make sure to bring tipping money for drivers, guides, and misc people who help you along the way. The cruise was not 5-star, but I enjoyed cruising the Nile and the good food, and was nice for what we paid for. The weather was also perfect in December and small crowds. The tour guides were all great! We had personal tours for Cairo, Luxor and Alexandria (these were the best guides!) and small group tours at the other locations. It was very nice to have transportation to and from locations already setup by the travel company. We had lunches paid for which was nice and opted to pay entrance fees on the spot which was very easy and quick.

Personal Views - We had a good time, but it could have been better with planning. Everything was last-minute planned. From the beginning to the end, our Tour Coordinator, Marena, was wonderful, even keeping me updated on any changes. We had wonderful tour guides in Giza (Anna), Luxor (Nelly Hazem), and Aswan & Abu Simbel (Hanni), & Alexandria, to name a few. I would recommend tour guides more than the company. With poor planning, we missed Karnak Temple and the West Bank. The Nile River cruise was good. The Luxor hot air balloon experience was wonderful & with breathtaking views.

Personal Impressions (from a Japanese perspective) - A week before the tour started, my Marena contacted me on WhatsApp. They also sent me a PDF round-trip e-ticket for the domestic flight, giving me the exact location of the pickup on day 1 and the drop-off on day 5, so I could leave Japan with great peace of mind. Hadeer, our guide on the first day of the tour, took a lot of pictures and was very happy with the careful explanation. Thank you for making time for our free time until we're done. The day-use hotel was also good. The second day was the worst. The guides were especially bad. In the first guide, we will discuss Front desk meeting at 4.55am - Balloon - Breakfast - Depart at 9am - Valley of the Kings - Hatshepsut - Temple of Karnak - Cruise ship embarkation It was. But in the end, it was about an hour later that our guide came to get us on the balloon, and then we went back to the hotel, as we had promised, and we were waiting at the hotel at 9 o’clock, and the guide told us that we had left at 8 o’clock, and he said to us as if we had made a mistake. The guidance from the NIC tour, which said it was 9am and showed us WhatsApp correspondence, was grumpy and very unpleasant. In the end, he was told that he had no time anyway, and Hatshepsut could not go, and the Karnak temple was sorry to see it in a hurry. And yet, the guide told me I needed a break, and I was dropped by a souvenir shop. They demanded tips outright, and I didn't want to give them to them, but I had to give them to them because they were hostages. Cruise ship staff, the food was good. At lunch and dinner, we had beer. The third day's guide didn't seem to require any tips, so I only gave them to the driver. On the fourth day, we visited the Temple of Absimbel. I got a call from the 4am meeting and the evening before via WhatsApp saying it was 3.45am after bedtime, but I was glad I had waited since 4pm without noticing. Because it was 5:15 when the guide picked us up!!! For your information, the settlement details of cruise ships are shown below. Drinks (Menu table shows beer @ £195 * 5 bottles + water @ £55 * 4 bottles) Tips @ £800 *2 days + £100 porter I paid in US$70 cash. Credit cards were not accepted. The bus to the Temple of Absimbel was full and the seats and seat pitch were small and exhausting. It was very helpful to have a day-use hotel in Aswan. It was extremely hot, so we could relax until the flight time. After that it was extremely comfortable. The airport pick-up driver waited for us 10 minutes in advance, which allowed us to have a slow dinner at Aswan airport. The pick-up and drop-off car attendant from Cairo airport sent me detailed WhatsApp messages from my time in Aswan. It was nice to see the pyramids again at the hotel where you can see them from the rooftop. The fifth day was also great. The drivers were good, and our guide, Engy Saeid, who joined us from Alexandria, was professional and easy to listen to in English, and we were very happy with the restaurant, which had a view of the Mediterranean Sea. Here are the tips we gave you for reference. Guide → Basically unnecessary (Day 2 Guide £200) Driver → USD 5 long distance, half day, £100 short distance Edfu carriage (£210 return three-seater) Room cleaning £20 Toilet £10 In summary: Operator Marena, guides outside of the second day, drivers, inside of individual tours → 5 stars No appointment until the evening before -> minus 1 star Day 2 Operation Error and Day 2 Guide → minus 1 star That's why I made it three stars. Also, information that I wish I had participated and knew beforehand. The guides are different every day, meeting and disbanding at tourist spots, and the driver only comes to the hotel entrance, so you check in at the hotel yourself. There were no convenience stores or supermarkets around the hotel, so it is a good idea to buy water when you can and take a few Japanese meals with you. WhatsApp and internet access from Japan is essential. They ask for tips so much, £10.20 mandatory Cash withdrawals with Y's Card have cost 1,000 yen, by ATM. (Some were 0 yen) Entrance fee is card only. Overall, it was fun.
