Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
Pyramids of Giza - The first stop will be the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, constructed by pharaohs between 2590 BC and 2480 BC. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza, enter the Queen’s Pyramid, and enjoy the panoramic view before visiting the Sphinx, one of the largest monolithic statues in history.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, this museum houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It features 120,000 items, with a significant portion on display and the rest in storage.
Cruise the Nile - Discover the Treasures of Luxor
Luxor - After breakfast, check out of your Cairo hotel and transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your luxury Nile Cruise ship for a four-night full-board stay. Begin your visits with the Karnak Temple, the largest religious Pharaonic temple ever built, followed by the Luxor Temple with your private guide. Enjoy the evening onboard with all meals included.
Luxor Temple - Located on the east bank of the Nile River in Luxor, this large Ancient Egyptian temple complex was constructed around 1400 BCE. In Egyptian, it is known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary.”
Temple of Karnak - This vast temple complex in Luxor is primarily dedicated to Amun and dates back to as early as 2000 BC. It is a remarkable sight, second only to the Great Pyramids in popularity.
Explore the Valley of the Kings & The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Luxor - Begin the day with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of the Pharaonic New Kingdom, including the famous tombs of ancient Egyptian kings. Next, visit the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut, the first woman to rule Egypt. The day concludes with a stop at the colossal Colossi of Memnon, the only remaining items of the Temple of Amenhotep III. Return to your Nile cruise for lunch and prepare for sailing. Dinner is served onboard.
Valley of the Kings - This ancient burial ground is home to many of Egypt’s New Kingdom Pharaohs, including the nearly intact tomb of Tutankhamen discovered in 1922 and the tomb of Ramses IV. A ticket allows access to 3 of the 63 tombs on site, excluding Tutankhamen’s tomb. The tombs have suffered from treasure hunters, floods, and mass tourism, but efforts have been made to preserve them.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Built by Queen Hatshepsut, the first female ruler of Egypt, this temple served as a funerary temple. She ruled Egypt for about 16 years, initially marrying her brother to justify her claim to the throne. Her stepson, Tutmosis III, later destroyed much of her legacy. The temple features a unique style with three floors cut into the cliffs of the Valley of the Kings.
Discover the Temples on the Nile Bank - Edfu & Kom Ombo
Aswan - After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best-preserved Ptolemaic temple in Egypt, with beautifully decorated walls and stone capitals. Next, explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Horus and Sobek, and visit the crocodile museum. Continue cruising down the Nile to Aswan, enjoying onboard entertainment. All meals are included.
Temple of Horus - Located in Edfu, this temple is dedicated to Horus, one of the most famous gods in ancient Egypt. Built between 237 and 57 BC, it is one of the best-preserved ancient monuments, protected by desert sand after the pagan cult was banned.
Temple of Kom Ombo - This unique double temple in Kom Ombo, Aswan Governorate, was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty (180–47 BC). The southern half is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, associated with fertility and creation.
Tour Aswan - Philae Island and the Temple of Goddess Isis
Aswan - After breakfast, visit the stunning Temple of Isis on Philae Island in the middle of the Nile. Return to your cruise for lunch, with dinner served onboard. All meals are included.
Temple of Philae - Located 12 kilometers south of Aswan, the Temples of Philae were a pilgrimage center for the cult of Isis. Saved from flooding by UNESCO’s rescue project, the temples continue to enchant visitors with their historical significance.
