Good exhibits but past its best - The museum has some significant exhibits - the narmer palette etc, the building is run down. Many exhibits don’t have any information, the lighting is very poor (making it difficult to read such information that is there), the building wasn’t clean. Our guide was very pleasant but did not really “guide” us. If you are short of time, I would give it a miss and focus on the outstanding Grand Egyptian Museum! Be careful not to mix them up!
