Upon arriving at Cairo Airport, an airport representative will greet you in the tunnel to assist with the visa process (not included) and guide you through customs and immigration. Proceed to the baggage claim area and then to the passenger pick-up, where you will meet your private driver who will take you to your accommodation. The journey from the airport to your hotel may take about an hour. After checking in, enjoy some leisure time to explore at your own pace or relax at your hotel.

Note: A strict dress code is required for visiting mosques and churches. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves, no tank tops. Sandals or flip-flops must be worn with socks (no bare feet). Women should dress modestly, avoiding see-through clothing and bare shoulders.

This morning, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel for a full-day tour of ancient Memphis, Saqqara, and the pyramids at Giza. First, drive south to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, where the Alabaster Sphinx and the statue of Ramses II were rediscovered. Next, visit the Step Pyramid of Saqqara. Conclude with the iconic and largest pyramids at Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx, a colossal lion with a pharaoh’s head.

Start early with a private transfer to the airport for your short flight to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, a private transfer will take you to board your cruise ship. After settling into your cabin, disembark for a guided tour of the High Dam and the Temple of Philae. This special site, a shrine to Isis, was relocated by UNESCO to save it from flooding. Later in the afternoon, sail on the Nile in an Egyptian Felucca, passing by Elephantine Island, and visit the Botanical Gardens on Kitchener Island.

In the early morning, sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Greco-Roman Sobek Temple, a unique double temple dedicated to the god Haroeris on one side and Sobek on the other. The cruise continues to Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus (also known as the Temple of Edfu), considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. Built during the Ptolemaic era from 237 to 57 BC, it reflects traditional pharaonic architecture and provides an excellent idea of how all temples once looked. Edfu is also very large, the second largest in Egypt after Karnak Temple.

Valley of the Kings - Day 5

Sail early in the morning to Luxor. After breakfast on board, explore some of the country’s most incredible sites. Visit the Valley of the Kings, where you can explore three tombs of ancient Pharaohs. Then, visit the recently renovated mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the second pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. The tour also includes a visit to the massive Colossi of Memnon, the only remnants of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

After breakfast on board, begin your day with a visit to the Temples of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains the construction of the massive facade. Continue to Luxor Temple, once connected to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometer-long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the temple’s entrance. Your private guide will provide insights and guide you through the most important parts of the temples. After the tour, transfer to the airport for your flight. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by our representative and privately transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Day 7

After breakfast, explore the Egyptian Museum, home to a magnificent collection of Pharaonic antiquities, including the golden treasures of Tutankhamun. Later, proceed to Old Cairo to visit the Citadel of Salah El Din and the Mohammed Ali Mosque, situated high above the city. Conclude the trip at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar for browsing and shopping.
