• Barron Gorge - Located just 20 minutes from central Cairns and 40 minutes from Port Douglas, Barron Gorge National Park is easily accessible whether you choose hotel pickup by coach or drive yourself to Lake Placid. The park is renowned for its dramatic rainforest mountains, steep ravines, Barron Falls, and the impressive Barron Gorge, sculpted over millennia by the Barron River.

Upon reaching Lake Placid, meet your guide to prepare for an exhilarating white-water rafting adventure on the river, which winds its way from the mountains to the Coral Sea. This picturesque journey offers a mix of tranquil waters and thrilling white-water rapids, allowing for both serene floating and exciting action. You’ll spend up to two hours rafting on rapids that reach up to grade III.
