• Captain Cook Highway - Embark on a journey north along one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, pausing at Rex Lookout to admire the views over Trinity Beach and the majestic mountains of the Great Dividing Range.

• Port Douglas - The next destination is the charming seaside village of Port Douglas for a brief town tour before proceeding to Mossman Gorge on the southern edge of the Daintree World Heritage area. Enjoy morning tea at the New Mossman Gorge Centre.

• Mossman Gorge - Hop on a shuttle bus with a Naturalist or Eco/World Heritage accredited guide and head to the national park for a guided walk through dense tropical rainforest. Marvel at the views of the massive granite boulders and the crystal-clear waters of the Mossman River. If time and weather allow, enjoy a refreshing swim.

• Daintree Region - Continue north, passing the sugar cane fields of North Queensland, and stop for a delightful lunch at the Daintree Tea House, the longest-established restaurant in the Daintree area, offering local produce of the highest quality.

• Daintree River - After lunch, embark on a small and personalized cruise on the Daintree River. With some luck, you might even spot the elusive crocodile.

• Daintree Region - Soon after, arrive at the Daintree River and board the cable ferry to cross this mighty river. The journey home provides time to relax and reflect on your day before returning to your accommodation.

• Thornton Beach - Continue further north, stopping at Marrdja or Jindalbe Boardwalk for a guided walk in one of the most biodiverse areas of the Daintree Rainforest. From here, proceed to Cape Tribulation, where two World Heritage areas converge – the Rainforest of the Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef.

• Daintree Ice Cream Company - Departing Cape Tribulation Beach, head south back toward The Daintree River, stopping along the way at one of the Daintree Ice Cream Shops for afternoon tea. Here, sample locally made ice cream featuring seasonal tropical fruits (at your own expense).

• Mount Alexandra Lookout - Continue north along the winding and picturesque road toward Cape Tribulation. Along the way, witness more wonders of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. A stop at the Alexandra Lookout offers a chance to look back over the coastal road just traveled and take in the stunning views over the Daintree River mouth, Snapper Island, and Low Isles.
