- Behana Gorge Walking Track - Arrive at Bus Bay #7, Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence St, Cairns Marlin Marina, at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. The staff will welcome you, complete the check-in process, fit all necessary gear, and conduct a safety briefing before guiding you to the shuttle. The air-conditioned shuttle departs from Cairns CBD for a 30-minute drive south to Behana Gorge. Your guide will introduce the gorge and outline the day’s route, chosen based on current water levels and what to expect from each section. Embark on the Behana Gorge Canyoning Course for approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. Enter the gorge and start your adventure, which includes natural rock slides, cliff jumps, abseiling down granite walls, river rapids, and crystal-clear swimming holes. Every challenge is optional, and your guide will assess the group’s comfort level and make adjustments as needed. All gear is provided, and each activity is demonstrated and supervised before you attempt it. After about 5 hours on site, the shuttle will return you to the Reef Fleet Terminal, your original departure point.
