Great company to experience this excursion with! - Let's start with the basics - the website is user friendly (and some are not!) and signing up was quick and painless. The waiver forms were sent in an easy to use and fill out format, and believe me, I love when things aren't archaic looking, especially when using a phone to fill it out for 4 people. They called to verify the trip and sent directions, which I also appreciated. It was easy to find and checking in was quick. Luis was very funny and likeable, as were the other 3 guys in the crew that went out with us. I will say that out of the all the things we did in PR, this one might have been the most out of my comfort zone. Even though we weren't out in the open sea, you still had to kayak over to the start of the mangrove forest. The water was choppy and it was starting to get dark. I've kayaked before (but not a lot) and I'd like to say that most people should get the hang of it pretty quickly, but there were some that did not. haha Here are the things I loved about it: 1) Experiencing one of the world's biolumenscent bays is a must. Regardless of how much you see, I think to be able to go and to say that you have seen it, is amazing. I'm not sure how much I saw though, to be honest. It's hard to splash your hand in the water while holding a tarp over you and not getting pinched by the kayak beside you. 2) Kayaking through a mangrove forest in the pitch black is pretty thrilling. I've never done anything like that, so that was fun. 3) Being under a sky full of stars in the middle of Laguna Grande was AMAZING. 4) The guide was very informative and if my kids were listening, they should have learned some things. :) If you have an excursion like this in mind, I highly recommend this company.

A highlight of our trip to PR - Great experience! Kayaking in the mangrove at night is a fun adventure, and the guides did a fantastic job. Prepare to get a bit wet.

Great experience all around. - The tour was very well organized. The company kept us well-informed prior to the trip. Very clear instructions as to what we needed while on the trip. All staff were incredibly nice and helpful. The guides were amazing. Despite the full moon, we were still able to experienced a bioluminescence with a tarp. The tour guides made the trip well worth it.

We had a great time... - We had a great time kayaking to through the mangroves to the lagoon to see the bioluminescence. The first part of the journey is through a little bay that can be a little tricking with the ocean current and moored boats, then you paddle through a mangrove “tunnel” which is very easy to navigate, and then end in a wide open, calm lagoon to see the lights. We do recommend getting the bug spray when the offer because the mangrove section does have mosquitos!

- I believe this is an experience everyone should do at lease once in their life time! It was very fun/spooky. Kayaking in complete darkness was not my cup of tea, but I enjoyed the experience. Staff were friendly all around and made sure we were all safe. The bioluminescent things were not very bright but I was able to see it. The light pollution probably affected the glowing of the little guys. On that note, make sure you go late at night.

A unique night time experience, be careful with the drive - This was a fun outing. The scary part was driving out to Fajardo in the evening. It was a windy evening. The kayak trip was great. It was shorter than it is reported to be. I did this once before over a decade ago. The only thing that made me sad is that they now allow motorized boats to trull through the mangrove trees. So even at night, the smell of gasoline is present. If you are an active person, I highly recommend this trip while the lagoons still exist. This experience was great, though for me personally, it was a little bitter sweet knowing the environmental impact the motorized boats are having.

Definitely worth it - This was a great experience, tour guides were great. The tour was beautiful although very dark. Going under the low trees was eerie. Only downside was that you have to put a tarp over your heads to see the microorganisms glow. Also, inexperienced kayakers running into you the entire time. Left with multiple bruises from being hit by other kayakers.

Wouldn’t do it again - You couldn’t see anything . They should not operate when it’s like that for its own benefit . And bit by mosquitos all over

Not sure what the hype is - As much as I want to give this excursion a 10/10 I can’t. The staff was absolutely wonderful! They were cracking jokes with us and made sure we felt safe and weren’t left behind. It gets extremely dark out there. My husband and I did the 9pm tour (It got pushed back from 8pm). The reason I give this tour a 1 star is because you can barely see the bioluminescence. You kayak a mile out which some people complained about it but I actually enjoyed it. And then you are given a large tarp where you place your head under and splash around with your hands for about 15min and then you kayak back. It wasn’t worth doing. Not sure if it was the location but we did it in Fajardo. It was our least favorite excursion out of the 4 we did. Do keep in mind you get very wet because the water drips down from your paddle. Don’t even bother bringing your phone. There’s nothing to take pictures of…
