Yasica River Experience by Tony Tours - We did not know what to expect, at first. Antonio of Tony Tours treated us like FAMILY! We had such amazing experiences with Tony Tours. Antonio arranged an AMAZING jungle excursion along the Yasica River. Miguel carried us on the boat through beautiful wildlife birds, snowy egrets along the calm soothing lazy river which ended at a river mouth called the Boca Chica and Wilson Bar where the Yasica River poured into the Cabarete Beach. There was a long sand bar which separated the river from the sea. At Wilson Bar we ate delicious fresh fried fish, chicken and the whole vibe was almost spiritual. Unhurried where time stands still. We loved it so much that Antonio of Tony Tours arranged another horseback riding adventure which carried us along the same sand bars of the River Yasica,back to the Wilson Bar. Amazing Visit! Tony took such great care of us. I can’t recommend this tour enough! We can’t wait to come back to Cabarete and look forward to Tony arranging more tours for us!

It was an unforgettable experience in Cabarete Caves - It was a great experience to visit the Cabarete Caves. I learned a lot about nature, history and stones. I recommend 100% this tour organizer because it was well organized.

Super fun, adventurous, beautiful - I enjoyed it so much during this excursion. Tony is a nice man who knows a lot and he is honest! My hotel was not at the pickup location for this excursion but he picked me up personally at an extra price. The guys who led the tour were all great too. I booked another tour!

Do it! - This was an amazing experience! Highly recommend. We saw so much beauty and felt completely off the beaten path amongst nature. Our tour guide was awesome and Wilson the restaurant owner so hospitable. On top of that the food was delicious!

Tony Tours 10/10 - This was an amazing excursion. We saw so much and ate great Dominican food cooked by local Dominican people! The fish (Parrotfish) was truly amazing and the rice / beans was perfect. We had time on the beach too.

Satisfied mi Boca at La Boca😋 - Tour didn’t begin well as Tony Tours forgot to pick us up but after a 20 min. wait, we were Picked up by Mr. Wilson who took us to a shack, part of a home on the edge of the river. Where we saw a croc,cayman, ducks n chickens. There was fresh coffee n local delicious fruit. We waited for more ppl, so this was a meeting place, basically, then my hubby n I were told we were gonna to join a birthday celebration for Mr. Bill, a friend of Wilson, who turned out to be a very nice man. Thank you for making us feel welcomed at your party Mr. Bill. The River Boat was balloon decorated n we all boarded n off we went on a tour of The Jessica River towards La Boca ( The mouth, where the River meets the sea). We enjoyed the ride and ended up at Wilson’s La Boca Restaurant n Bar. The food at this place is cooked over driftwood in the kitchen of a little shack on the river. We had fresh local fried fish, lobster, rice with beans n salad, and birthday cake! This was by far the best seafood. Totally recommend the boat tour n the Rsnt! If you go to Cabarete,DR you must go to Wilson’s La Boca Rsnt. We later figured out that the guy that rescued us that morning, was the owner, Mr. Wilson himself. It’s no wonder he had told us that the Rsnt we’d be attending later was owned by a very smart man😂

On Track! - We appreciated that the tour was able to accommodate our last-minute decision and even picked us up from our hotel. We were excited to see exotic animals in the jungle, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t match our expectations. The "jungle" animals turned out to be housed in a roadside zoo, with some reptiles and birds in small cement enclosures, which was a bummer. Next, we boarded a wooden boat for a ride down a narrow river, passing a few cow farms along the way. We didn’t learn much during the boat ride—it felt more like a water taxi to the restaurant. The river connected to a larger one that led to the ocean, but we didn’t get to see the point where they met (part I was most excited about), as we were dropped off at the restaurant without any information on how long we would be staying or what to expect. We also weren't told that swimming in the river was an option until after. Beverages are an additional fee. Food was tasty, dogs were cute, vibes were chill! The price was a bit steep for the overall experience, but it was still neat.

Not As Advertised - This experience was adequate, but it was not as advertised. The mini zoo is not a zoo at all. It is a few animals in enclosures. Completely underwhelming. The boat tour is not a tour. The guide spent most of the time making bird noises. He did not explain anything as was advertised on trip advisor. My confirmation literally said. What's Included Private transportation Lunch Alcoholic Beverages wifi on board There was no wifi and alcoholic beverages had to be purchased separately. Also, the listing mentioned "This experience lasts 4 hours and you can enjoy an outdoor pool and jacuzzi." There was no pool, jacuzzi, or anything of the sort. We didn't even go to a beach. All 3 of the stars are for the food and the peaceful ambiance. They should really call this a river/lunch excursion. I would not recommend it for what is actually included for the price.

Do not go on this tour if you’re a woman and shame on you Viator! - If you’re a young woman, I repeat do not go on this tour or any of his tours! This time of year is busy, so the time I went for, I was going to end up alone. Which I didn’t think would be bad because he had decent reviews online everywhere. I was wrong. He’s a driver, not the guide. Everything started out nice until I came back. The guide (Mackenzie) kept asking about my age, if I was single, and my social media. I told him no I don’t want to give it to you. He backed off, but I found that very inappropriate and unprofessional bc I know he wasn’t asking the couple before me that. Then Tony came back to pick me up and sexually harassed me, saying he likes my body shape, hair, girls my skin color, and how I deserve a massage. To top it off when I go out the car, finally freed of him, he asks if I’ll think of him (which I clearly said no to). Just being a CREEPY OLD WEIRDO. I GUARANTEE if I wasn’t alone or was a man, none of that would have happen. Told Viator and they did absolutely nothing. They just requested a refund on my behalf through him, essentially giving him all the power to give a bias report. Clearly he didn’t give a refund, I had to dispute with my bank. There’s way better tour guides in this area (I’d recommend Michel Tours or Prime tours if you’re a woman solo traveling) and he’s NOT IT. He tried to gaslight me after I reported him saying that didn’t happen, I took what he said wrong, and whatnot. Anyways, don’t book ANY OF HIS TOURS if you want to be left with unprofessionalism, inappropriate behavior, and uncomfortability. I hate that you can’t report the companies on here because he needs to be taken down.
