- Morell - The tour will proceed along the Confederation Trail heading east, crossing the renowned Morell River of PEI, and continuing along the shores of St. Peter’s Bay to reach the Community of St. Peters. The Confederation Trail, a linear parkway that was once a railway, is now part of the TransCanada Trail and International Appalachian Trail networks. In St. Peter’s, the direction changes to westward towards Greenwich - PEI National Park. Upon arrival at the National Park, the e-bikes will be secured, and a brief hike will be taken through the Park, crossing a 1 KM floating walkway to the Gulf of St. Lawrence shores. The Greenwich Peninsula boasts an extensive and delicate coastal dune system, wetlands, and various natural habitats that host numerous rare plant species. Among the most remarkable natural features to be preserved at Greenwich are the exceptionally large and mobile parabolic dunes with their associated counter ridges or Gegenwälle.

E-cyclists will gather at the historic train station in Morell, a serene 30 km (19 mile) journey east of Charlottetown. Following bike adjustments and a brief orientation, the group will ride to Red Head Harbour. The tour will proceed along the Confederation Trail heading east, crossing the Morell River and skirting the shores of St. Peter’s Bay to reach St. Peters. In St. Peter’s, the group will turn west towards Greenwich - PEI National Park, relishing the peaceful landscapes and sweeping views of the Bay.
Upon reaching the National Park, the e-bikes will be secured, and participants will embark on a short hike across a 1 KM floating walkway to the Gulf of St. Lawrence’s shores. The Greenwich Peninsula boasts expansive coastal dunes, wetlands, and habitats with rare plant species.
After a leisurely beach walk and a chance to wade in the warm Gulf waters, the group will return to St. Peter’s for lunch (not included), followed by a relaxing ride back to the Morell Train Station. This tour offers an easy to moderate cycling experience with approximately 2-3 KM of walking.
