The breweries were awesome, and I appreciated the help from your office rescheduling our tour after it was unable to run earlier in the month (even though it took several emails sometimes to get a reply). However, we felt really sorry for our guide - he was a great driver, but was brand new to the role of guide, and it appeared that he hadn't had much, if any, training in how beer is made and how breweries work. The brewery owner stepped in at the first stop and gave the tour instead. I don't believe this is our guide's fault; this is a company issue primarily, as he should have been given much more mentorship (i.e. ride-alongs with more experienced guides) and/or more hands-on training, than it sounded like he had. He did mention he was currently the only Calgary guide though, so it sounds like you're stretched a little thin out here... anyway, we had a great time in the end, but we'd love to see you provide more training/assistance to your new guides!
