I was impressed with and appreciated the attitude and accommodation of the flight "crew" (Rich and David) -- they made an already special experience even better. The plane itself and the opportunity to pilot a C-47 again after 74 years were, of course, meaningful almost beyond words. Thanks to everyone at GGA!

The Captain Rich was Fantastic! He was experienced, patient, willing to answer all of my questions! I want to do it again, it was one of the best experiences of my life!

When I arrived at the Greatest Generation Aircraft hangar at Fort Worth Meacham Airport last Sunday April 28 at 9.45am, I had absolutely no experience of flying any sort of aircraft whatsoever. Zero hours. By lunchtime, I had performed a touch and go, several gentle right and left turns over the Fort Worth area and then a nice smooth landing back at Meacham, all under the calm and watchful eyes of Captain Jim, in a beautiful, immaculate 80 year old C-47 and now had my first 20 minutes in my "log book". Not your usual Sunday morning! This was a fantastic experience, and one I can thoroughly recommend to anyone interested in classic aviation, from a complete novice like me to vastly experienced pilots who'd just like to top up their hours in a beautiful classic aeroplane. The enthusiasm, friendliness and absolute professionalism of all at GGA was second to none, and even if you don't fancy flying, their seriously impressive collection of wonderful classic aircraft housed in the enormous hangar is worth a trip to see just on its own, including the stunning B29 "FiFi"-one of just two airworthy examples in the World. Thanks guys, I had an absolute blast-worth every penny of the trip over from London! I'll be back...
