Amberd is situated on Mount Aragats, the tallest peak within the borders of contemporary Armenia. The journey there is scenic, with numerous mysterious occurrences along the route. One section features an area that appears to defy gravity, where the river seems to flow uphill.

Just great - Very enjoyable tour. Levon tells with passion about each location and was able to answer my questions about the landmarks and basic things about life in Armenia and her history.

Saghmosavank and Amberd - The church at Saghmosavank and the canyon in the nature surrounding it, is stunning. The ruins of the Amberd fortress with the church nearby are also worth a visit - not to be missed.

Excellent tour - Excellent tour! Very good driver and I am happy that I went with Sergey. He has a comfortable car, speaks good English and will tell you some facts along the way. The stops were impressive. I basically took this tour mainly to visit Amberd and I highly recommend this way to go to the fortress.
