Very nice guides - Very friendly staff, the island is beautiful even on a rainy day. The bus ride to the port was an adventure in itself 😂. Overall a great day, recommend!

Walk to Saône - Em sea and the beach are amazing. No photos do them justice. Lunch and facilities are precarious. In the bathrooms there are many mosquitoes

To forget - The bus was bad. The catamaran wasn't good and the boat... really bad. We were in Saona a few years ago and the memory was good... Now the beach is a crowd of people... Nor is it beautiful... The blue lagoon also doesn't impress... In short, it is better to stay at the resort...

Fun but disorganized - The excursion itself was really fun and a great time. Unfortunately over 2 hours of this excursion is waiting. Waiting for other tour groups, stopping at random gas stations, waiting for the boat. It takes the fun out of the experience. I’d recommend booking with another tour group that is more organized and efficient.

Aesthetically beautiful but that’s it ! - We didn't particularly enjoy our excursion to Sanoa Island. From the pickup to the transfer and the 2 hour ride to the wharf we were crammed into little vans and it was scorching hot . There wasn’t enough seats for everyone and some ppl were left behind . Once arriving we waited quite a bit before being able to board the boat , once we board we were taken about 15 minutes out where we had to transfer to the catamaran in the middle of the water - it was unpleasant. Once aboard the catamaran it was beautiful but then almost immediately we were bothered and pretty much forced into taking photos from The “ professional” photographers on board . We denied and said no thank you 25 times but they took us by the arm and placed us in a pose and started taking our photos . We did not like that one bit . We just wanted to me left alone to relax and enjoy the cruise . The catamaran bar SUCKED , they only had dark rum with cola or sprite. That’s it Once we arrived at the “ natural pool “ it was absolutely beautiful…but… once again the photographers starting taking our pictures . They would not take no for an answer . We stayed at the natural pool for maybe 20-30 mins . Once we arrived to Sanoa Island it was very beautiful. First thing we did was have lunch , in my opinion it was terrible food ( and I’ve been enjoying resort food very much! And I’m not picky at all) I just did not enjoy the food on the island at all! We were not given any drinks at all , we went searching for water and found it at another little hut. While trying to eat what we could the locals started ….none stop for time we were on the island someone was trying to sell us something. Over and over and over they were all around us trying to sell us pineapples , jewelry , sun hats etccccc literally anything . It was soooooooo annoying it literally took all our time and we couldn’t even enjoy the island . Not that it mattered much because The water was soooo rocky and full of sharp shells etc that we couldn’t even go barefoot in the water. I don’t even want to go into the photographers …..they came to sit with us and showed us all the pics they took and wouldn’t leave until we bought them !! Selling them at $10USD , and they took 74 pics of me and my daughter ! They bugged and bugged and would not leave us alone until we bought them. I did not have enough cash to buy them …but no worries …. HE CAME BACK TO THE RESORT WITH J US…..to get his money !!!!!! Overall everything was beautiful aesthetically but that’s about it . Everything else was HORRIBLE . We did not enjoy it ! There’s a lot more to it but I already wrote so much so I’ll leave it at that

A spectacular destination overshadowed by an unsafe and low-quality tour - Our experience on this tour was very bad and deeply concerning. The photographer “Lucy” (photographer #157) behaved in a threatening, intimidating, and completely inappropriate manner. From the beginning, when we chose not to hire her services, she reacted with hostility, as if we were obligated to pay for something we did not want. No guest should ever be pressured or intimidated for declining an additional service. The situation escalated during the tour when she began to directly threaten my wife, stating that we would have to pay for her camera because her backpack was on the floor in the area where we sat. She repeatedly insisted, while staring at us in a confrontational manner, that we would be responsible for her equipment allegedly getting wet. This behavior was unacceptable and alarming, and it made us feel unsafe for the remainder of the tour. People with this kind of behavior should not be working in tourism, as it completely ruins the experience and creates an environment of tension and insecurity for visitors. It is important to note that Manuel, our guide, and the drivers were kind and professional at all times, and that the destination itself is truly beautiful. However, this does not make up for what happened. I do not recommend this tour under any circumstances: the treatment was unprofessional, the rum provided was of very poor quality, and the transportation times were excessively long and unnecessary.

Horrendous - Horrendous. No way is there any snorkeling involved. Excursion description and actual excursion is way different. I was staying at Ibero Star Punta Cana. 10-11 hour day. Got notification tour would start at 7:00, then get an email it would start at 7:55 then I get picked up at 8:25. 2 hours later and multiple transfer stations and cramped vehicles we arrive at port. 10 minute walk past vendors we get to the boat along with 1000 others also loading onto boats. Had to be 20-30 catamarans loading up, we have a white string on our wrist to signify our group. We are herded onto a boat without enough seating and most seats (if you get one) are without a back rest. Boats leave in a caravan, music is turned up to ear splitting decibel level, you cannot even speak to someone sitting next to you, and the rum/cokes are passed out.....unlimited rum/cokes. Dancing starts in an area way too small, large enough for 20 people at most with about 75 on our boat. Boat has one porto john for 75 folks...So now it is about 12:30 and we arrive at blue hole after 90 minute boat ride. It is just a shallow (2-3 feet) area 20-40 meters off shoreline. Absoutley no snorkeling, fish, starfish anything. Just 1000 folks getting hounded by photographers for $10 pictures standing in the water, (shoreline is offlimits) 30 minutes spent standing in water and then time for 45 minute ride to Saona Island. Once again 20-30 boats in a caravan to island before all boats are transferring 1000 folks to smaller boats to get taxied to island. You are directed to one of many picnic areas where you wait for food. Get in line early because it goes fast and no seconds. One piece of chicken, one pork chop and mashed potatoes. Nothing to do on island and you will see none of it, it is just a beach with the jungle 40 meters away and no trails. Water is packed after lunch. No snorkeling, no fish etc. Then the rain starts (obviously not their fault) so our time on island is cut short to under 2 hours ( which was fine....nothing to do) So we load up in a very cramped (speed?) boat for the 60 minute ride back thru torrential rain and less than half of us are actually under the roof....very wet, cold, cramped, miserable. So get back to port, and we are directed to a bathroom if we want but the locals are selling toilet paper ( nope not provided in the bathrooms) we get to our vehicle and somehow we have too many passengers ???? so 8 folks are left behind with our guide to wait for another vehicle. Once again 90 minutes, multiple stops and we are home. My advice is look for cheapest excursion, they are all the same. Very long day
