Absolutely brilliant, tour guide made sure everyone was having a brilliant time. - What a brilliant time we had there, the tour guide wasn’t settled unless he knew that everyone was having a brilliant time. The atmosphere was amazing and the communication this company has to offer to guests booking on this trip regarding transfers is 10/10. The food was delicious and the island was spectacular! if we were going back to this island we would 100% book back with this company.

A dream paradise. Just one detail the toilets. - A paradise!! We take an excursion from Punta Cana, towards Bayahibe. From a catamaran to Saône Island, the island is a paradise, white sand, loungers, buffet. The only reprehensible thing, the toilets. The place deserves better service, because of the number of tourists who visit the island

We saw huge starfishes in the ocean! - Long bus ride and boat ride to the island but it was totally worth it! The natural pool, Saona Island was absolutely beautiful! I was scared at first about the buffet but it was delicious and they had many different options for meat and vegetables and fruits!! Our tour guide Alex was so good about taking care of his group! Wow I was so intrigue to hear about his history lessons about Punta Cana and the eastern cities in the Dominican Republic country. Luis was a great driver and felt very safe!! We have experienced some crazy drivers that have transported us in Punta Cana😬 One thing that we will always remember was seeing starfishes in their natural habitat. That was amazing!!!

Excursion to Saône - Fantastic island, excursion made with Mariposa organized by the great Gabriele il Toscano, we visited Playa del Toro where we were alone with our group and the beautiful Playa del Canto, among the most beautiful beaches ever seen. Lunch at the beautiful fishing village and finally swim in the natural pools with Caribbean music, rum and coke in abundance. Mariposa N 1

a postcard with beautiful colors - at the isla saona you find everything you expect from a magical place in the Caribbean... it feels like being in a movie.... I was there in 1997 and I never came back... I very much hope that this place is not ruined by man, it would be a crime...

The best staff! - My trip to Saona Island was beyond amazing! The team provided outstanding service, ensuring everything was smooth and well-organized. The communication was clear and made planning so easy. The island itself is a dream come true, with pristine, crystal-clear waters that were simply mesmerizing. To top it off, the food was fresh and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a relaxing and unforgettable experience, this is the one to book!

Poor food is bad.. dysentery assured "classic Dominican beach ♥️ - Classic Dominican beach, departed by catamaran from bayahibe, stopped at the natural pool for a swim,, arrival at the island,,, lunch already prepared, drinks only coca cola sprite water and rum .. the rest is for a fee .. bad food, would be to arrest .. dysentery is guaranteed with that poor food .. the only problem of the trip to the island is just the food .. absolutely to avoid .. time spent on the island 90 minutes .. second time I go in 12 years, ..

Beautiful but too commercial - Beautiful island, lovely cruise over on a catamaran but awful trip back on a speedboat. The beach sellers were overly persistent and would not leave us alone and it absolutely ruined our visit. Too much upselling on the tour and whilst we understand the need for profit and money needs to be made, it was too commercial and I would not recommend it.

12 hour trip was disorganized - This trip has the potential to be a 10 out of 5 but it was so poorly executed. Viator REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT TOUR OPERATORS WHO GET BAD REVIEWS AND THEN JUST MAKE ANOTHER PROFILE! So firstly there were several postings of the same tour, I think that they are all the same group. This excursion took 12 hours and I still don't know the name of the company!!! Let me start by saying the people operating the tour SPOKE LITTLE TO NO ENGLISH! This was difficult and dangerous when we were on the boat getting to the boat etc! How it started: I was sent a message on whatsapp with a photo and a description of the car and driver who would be picking me up from the hotel and taking me to a meeting point -had no idea if this was the boat or another vehicle! My resort would not let the driver in so we had to go outside and meet the driver, someone called me on whatsapp and informed of this in English. At 7:30am Go to meet the driver in a minivan with 3 other tourists. My 8 year old autistic son was with my husband and I. We go to a parking lot of a large souvenir store. We weren't able to have breakfast due to the early pick up time, the store only sold chips and cookies that my son didn't want. we had to wait for 45 minutes for a larger bus to arrive to take us to the boat. I was annoyed from this point on. The bus drove us for a little over an hour to Bayahibe there we exited the bus and met Scooby-Doo our guide who spoke very little English. We were given green pieces of string to tie around our wrists for identification and then we were given white wristbands for entry into the park. We were then escorted through the crowded busy streets with cars and trucks going every direction to the beach where boats were located. We waited in the sun on that MFin beach for 1 hour! By this time it was after 11am and still no food, there were food places around but we had no idea that the wait would be so long so we just stood there. Finally 55 of us were loaded on to a boat. Instructions were given in spanish and then there was very little english instructions! We were then taken to the natural pool, It was beautiful, the bar consisted of Rum and coke and sprite. They did have photographers and we got beautiful family and individual photos, 31 photos cost us $90 USD. We only had 35 minutes at the natural pool. Then off to the Isla Soana. Once there we had to wait for a smaller boat to take us to the island, speedboat took us to the island, once on the island the buffet was not ready and once it was there was a line and servers spoke no english so for meat I was unable to get pork and I don't eat chicken. We did not get food until 1:30pm! The tour said lobster would be available for purchase, we found the lobster and bought 2 for $50USD, they took forever to prepare them and we got little to no time in the water. The water was wull of rocks of various sizes so wasn't really safe for my son. Then we were called back to the speed boat after 2 hours. The speedboat took us to a large catamaran that was fun but I was so annoyed and pissed off at this point I couldn't really enjoy it. Both large boats played spanish music only. Then once we returned to Bayahibe we had to get on yet another speed boat to shore!!!! All this boat changing happened in the water which was scary especially with my child but we made it and didn't lose anything. Once back in Bayahibe we got back on our bus by this time it was 5:45pm. They offered us personalized bottles of mamajuana with our pictures on it for $20 USD this was a really cool souvenir but we had no more cash because we spent it all tipping the various boat ppl!!! I also left my credit cards at home because I thought that I had carried enough cash! Anyway we drive back to Punta Cana in the large bus and the driver puts us out at an intersection to meet yet another minivan driver to go to our hotel! By this time it is 7pm and it is dark! The final driver speeds along over taking cars on the dark road! The final driver got on to the property with no problem and dropped us off at 7:40pm. I've never been so hungry in my life!!!! The waters are beautiful and the tour operators are nice but the language barrier was very difficult to overcome. Also the long time without food was hard to deal with on vacation. This excursion was hard work and I was hungry and tired after 12 hours in the streets of DR!
